I think that there are a couple of dynamics to consider:

1) Although it might seem like a wild, out of control gang bang, most porn is controlled. Remember, as you said, there are camera people there and someone's "in charge" to make sure that things don't go too far.
2) If you're looking for rough sex, you'll get that, but, in a real gang bang, you run the risk of the guys really getting out of control. It's mob mentality. If you ever go through with it, be sure you have a "handler" or two to keep the gang fuckers from losing their minds.
