It was a hot evening over the Los Angelos area. As the sun went down it didn't stop the wave of humidity that went over the city. As people walked by they wore basic necessities to try and beat the heat. Of course the upper class still wore far too much, but then there was the young ones. Women wearing shorts that barely hid the flesh of their ass; young men shorts with no shirt revealing if you were lucky a hard body six back. Sometimes it was the exact opposite in terms of what one wanted to looked at but to someone it did not matter. Why waste time putting on so much when God throws the very heart of the sun down. Cover your shame and risk heat stroke, or wear what you want and enjoy the liberation you could have.
A taxi cab drove along the busy city streets. The heat was bringing the best and the worst out of people it seemed. Cars were honking at each other to hurry the fuck up, people were dancing under water fountains. Lovers were thrashing they day away in the throes of passion; their bodies dripping sweat over olive skin curves. All of this he could feel, see an hear just from this simple drive in his car. A man stared out over the city streets seeing all walks of life around him. It was about time for his bar to be ready for business; always a good night at the Club Cherub. However there had been property that had held onto his attention for someone time not but a block or two away. It had been a church that had been still in use but it was hardly the holiest.
The man in the cab looking upon his phone held some emails from some government employees he had in his pocket. Long red hair draped down the sides of his dark olive skinned complexion. His gold pupils staring at the emails that came with the daily grind of business. Truly the price for his establishments was dealing with dull mortal affairs. His long hand came up to his chin have a small beard trimmed to a point. He wore very simple clothing at the time, he wore a black underarmor vest with a pair of tight athletic shorts; a pair of sandals to finish his attire. It was rather unremarkable but he couldn't give a fuck over his clothes. These mortal constraints withheld a six foot masculine form of lean muscle like a statue; years of physical training to achieve a form that the Greeks would die for. His facial features sharp and with his gold eyes he was not a creature to leave your wife alone with.
To call him a man was quite the mistake, few could understand what he truly what. A devil bound to only the sweetest temptations. Mavick was a Devil of Lust and Temptations; playing in the mortal realm was like a playground for him. And as they closed in on this old church a grin began to grow on his face; to purchase the property would have so many opportunities along with it. The man felt the cab come to a halt and he simply stepped out of the cab with a lean strong leg leading him. Standing full now he was quite a sight to behold; he looked so out of place but with the beauty that accompanied him no one was ever the wiser. Suddenly a voice came at him from the cab.
"Will that be all Mavick?" Spoke the cab driver a man in his late 40's who was shaking but not from fear but from utter pleasure. Mavick smiled as he stared over the cab door to see the rather perfect ass staring back up at him. The cab driver looked down to the woman going down on his hard cock; a blonde beautiful young thing who smiled back up at the driver. Her tongue slowly ran up the length of his cock. Mavick smiled as he stared at the two and he slowly leaned down with a devil's grin. "Indeed my friend...enjoy her." The devil smacked the hood of the car and with rather erratic driver pulled out. Slowly her turned to face once grand cathedral that had no doubt seen better days.
The brink work still in tact, the roof was missing minor sections that had fallen off, most of the windows were decent. And that was only from the outside. Mavick stared at the old building and pondered the events that may have led to such a grand structures demise. Of course he knew some of the details, this part of Los Angeles and the west coast in general did not have he devotion of the east coast. Well, devotion was there but it was not as easy to find. That mixed with a booming economy at the time; profit began to beat out religion was probably this churches old story. Mavick saw only constraints and bonds as he looked upon this Church; human beings forced to not see the simple nature of the world.
As he walked around though he felt something that caught him off guard. He felt something he did not expect in the midst of this sign of broken faith. But that was just it, it was faith in itself. It was pure and smooth as silk, potent in its ways. There was no denying the curiosity in his bones and in his very nature. Mavick began to walk up the stone carved stairs that had seen their taste of spray-paint cans; remarkably there was not a single dab of paint on the walls of the church. His golden pupils stared almost impressed that this place had not been touched by a construction crew. There was a small hint of fear though as he approached the doors; only for a moment as he stared at the door like a chess player.
"Now then...are you there my friend...are you watching me enter this place. I don't think you are...and I don't think you have in a long time." Then rather suddenly he pushed the doors opened to reveal the steeple in its full glory; no wave of resistance and nothing to hold him back. His grin only grew longer as he looked upon this dusty old building. The buttresses were still holding up strong, a few of the pews had cracks. All around him were pictures of the human lord and savior; Mavick could not help but stare upon one of the dusty idols of Christ and see it with disdain. The whole area held the smell of trapped air as the sunlight peered through the broken windows. It only got hotter in here with only fans blowing; a few beads of sweat traveled down his body and into his clothes.
True...he could have stopped himself from sweating, but why bother. Why not let yourself feel the heat of the city. The heat of its own sin boiling it down into a melting pot of taboo. There was no denying how much he loved this city. For now though, something was indeed in here...or someone.
