This trend of smaller packaging has been going on for a LONG time, before GW's second term. I know, I was the stay-at-home parent. I saw the dwindling amounts of items in the same sized packaging. It has nothing to do with the government: It's ALL about food companies.
 
Time was, the packages got smaller but the prices were constant. Then the prices spiked, and on it goes.


The sugar here is 1.84 metres.

Apparently you don't get out much. The dollar is the world standard, all goods from wherever the originate are priced in dollars. You downgrade the dollar, what happens.
