For those who are not around during the day, BedtimeStories and Calvin have decided to resign their post as mod's of the personal's threads.




I sure do wish things had worked out differently. And with the few exceptions you already know about, no one I've talked to wishes you to leave. I respect your wishes, because I know it's a job I don't think I could do. However, please know that many people here really do appreciate the job you've done.

I always found Calvin to be great. I don't know what happened, but his last message to me seemed very positive.

I'm very sorry to see Calvin go, and I don't think people here began to realise how fair he was.

Though I for one also blame Manu and Laurel for expecting people to do an almost impossible job in asking them to moderate a board, yet give them no powers as such. I don't see the point in it.

No... just asking them to give their moderators the powers that any other moderators have on any other boards. (I'm a mod on a couple of other boards). Leave the GB for those who want unmoderated talk, where those who make the mods' lives hell would fit well into, and moderate the rest so that the few don't continually spoil it for the majority.

I've moderated on a few boards myself. Its hard to moderate the way everyone wants it to be moderated when free speech is a base of what Laurel and Manu have built this site to be.

Everyone can say anything to anyone at any given time. Sure you can ban till you're blue in the face, then you get an overwhelming abundance of ALT's.

There is nothing that can be done about arrogant people. I think more people should use their ignore button but then again thats just me. Another fact is that people take to heart everything that everyone says here ... kinda blows the whole nature of "having fun" out the fuckin window.

It dont take a rocket scientist to figure that out either.

KB.... I must admit I don't get you. Sometimes you seem a top bloke. You make me laugh and you seem to have a caring side. Others you seem like a child lashing out at anything just making trouble for the sake of it. I really don't get you. With Calvin you're like the latter. It was one post. And you're always going on about drama and belittling people. You have me in the past for far less.... yet you've gone on and on about it. I've had dealings with Calvin over stuff, and while he and I don't always agree... he's always been honest and up front, and sincerely wants to do his best. I am sure you know this in your heart. You're not stupid. Yet one decision you disagree with and the toys are catapaulted out of the pram.

You have a quote in your sig deriding the GB , yet you'd fit in there pretty well right now.

Ya know the old saying...it takes only one bad apple to spoil the basket. Unfortunatly this is quite the example of things going horribly wrong due to several people whom abuse the concept of freedom of speech, rant on about how thier rights were taken away, and quickly hide behind something that really, they have shown little knowledge of.

Surely Manu and Laurel have the capacity to trace ISPs and addresses? Again, not rocket science.

It seems to me that just because this is a porn-type board... it's assumed we must put up with arrogance and abuse and flaming etc... more than a 'normal' board. I don't see that logic. Why isn't this a normal board? It is!! With normal everyday people... so why can't it be run like others? You have the same mix here as on any other board. Intelligent, stupid, sensetive, intolerant, laid-back, self-absorbed, outgoing, shy.... all the different types as on any other board. It's hardly unique.... and it IS dealt with elsewhere.

Traffic on Lit (the playground anyway) is decreasing daily..... a while ago a thread was on page 3 if no-one had replied in an hour or so... now it takes a day sometimes to drop off of page 1. Carry on as you want and it'll continue in that vein... that's my prediction anyway. And I'd hate that to happen, cos I love this place and most on here.
