It's one of my fave activities, don'tcha know.
As some of us very well know and more of us are finding out as time passes, we had a little dust up in the forum today. Nah, not Hannsy, he was boring as ever.
I'm not a good one to talk because I pretty much define the entire notion of pit bull syndrome here on the boards, but something has to be said.
There's a point when enough is enough. Someone fucked up. We got into a tizzy over it. We have a bundle of threads about this event that go on for pages. We have PMs flying around--I assume--about the event. At some point we have to say enough.
I did, believe it or not. Enough. The point has been made for both sides of the issue over and over again. Now all that's left is a dead horse to beat.
No one is going to change their minds at this point. We've gotten so entrenched on our respective sides of the issue that we're not getting anywhere. The debate is a stalemate and there is no where to go with it.
Whatever your opinion on the brouhaha, good or bad, it has merit. It is valid opinion and you should have it. I am not telling you not to post it. I am not even asking you not to post it, in so many words.
I am asking, however, that you consider the dead horse and think about whether or not it needs to be beaten more.
Life goes on here at Lit. People come and go. People become pariahs and get reaccepted. Everything changes. Hell, I'm even wishing Lance a pleasant day and meaning it.
Thanks.
Um, Laurel rocks my world.
