"Bear runs into Pennsylvania home"

They mustn't know much about bears or they wouldn't have tried to 'interfere'. They'd have been better off to open another door and let it run out or shoot the damn thing. I bet Fido's still hiding. :D

They were stupid to try and get the bear away.

But I did read this awesome article about a woman in Juneau, AK who punched a black bear in the face because it had a hold of her little dog.

The bear didn't attack her. The thing said that the bear just kind of stood there, stunned, for a moment and then ran off into the woods.

I felt bad for that bear lol. He was probably like, WTF?! and then his feelings were hurt haha. The dog only had some really tiny marks on his neck from the bear biting down on its neck and having the dog in his paws. You can't say the bear was going to do much, if it was, it would have done so well before the woman saw what was going on.

That "Prohibition" documentary isn't bad, although nothing can top "The Civil War" as a Ken Burns spectacular.

But the "Prohibition" doc was made for us here on Lit. That George Remus story of the wife's betrayal came right out of "Loving Wives."

I've watched that thing twice, and still know next to nothing about the Civil War. It bores me to tears, and the knowledge leaves as soon as it enters my brain. Don't know why, but I probably know more about the French and Indian War than the Civil War.

Drives mr. tat insane.

Have you ever seen Ric Burns New York documentary? Episodes three through seven are spectacular.

Does this mean I wasn't the only one thinking, "plot bunny!" at various points in the documentary? I admit to scribbling crazy notes about "rum row."
