Cyclone Rebecca was downgraded officially to a 'water spout' .......smiles.....bizarre it went from a delicious storm to ohhh this seems just bordering on something more significent ..........we managed 66mm of rain in fact its still raining.........it was a bit scary yesterday

Daytime highs here are around 91 F (32.7 C) with 80% humidity it feels like 114 F (46 C). This is why I hate living in Florida. I loved living in Colorado. Even when they had a heat wave ( 85 F/29 C) with the humidity of 20% It felt downright cool to me!

The AC is on year round for me, generally speaking. I think I had 5 days this past winter it was actually cool enough for me to open the windows. Even with the AC on my part of the house still gets far to warm for me. It peaks right about 3 pm.

I have the AC and a fan going right now, and will be sleeping with nothing on except a sheet. I don't like the fan blowing on me constantly, but it is darned better than sweltering to death.


Everyone remember to drink plenty of water and find a cool spot to stay during the day.

Heat is back, in the mid-west. It was 103 Wednesday, and suppose to be 106 on Thursday. Of course, that could change significantly, because it's the weather we're talking about.

Last week was pretty darn nice, after that cold front came through. I think we're suppose to have another of those, in a couple days. But, this is August in the mid-west. "The dog days of summer", they call it.

Woof...woof.
