In Schoharie County NY, where my dad was born, most of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation officers are related to me. If they find a hunting party that have exceeded their quota, or have killed illegally, they will confiscate and "destroy" the animals - not suppose to donate. However, they know some butchers who will "find" venison in their freezers LOL

I never liked it, even after having a master chef at a resort make it. My palate doesn't like the taste.

Now if you want a wild turkey recipe, one of my aunts had a great one. The first ingredient, after the bird itself, was a double shot of Wild Turkey LOL
