No worries, i talked to my friend from back in the day and then logged off from the comp completely. Started watching Criminal Minds and then i went to bed..it was cold here lastnight..in the 30's Brrr!

I'll be around off and on, and tonight hopefully we can cause some raucous!

Tonight sounds perfect!!

Ahh.. Criminal Minds. Okay, answer truthfully are you a Morgan or Spenser girl? Can't help it, I love the geek factor, so I go for Spenser every time. I admit Morgan's hot and he has a way with the words but at times a bit too smooth if you know what I mean. But Spense is sooo adorable, he makes me melt. *sigh*

Probably why I love Big Bang Theory too.

Yeah i've done hundreds of Conf calls in my time..i'm a Senior Retail Analyst..i have calls daily..some are only 15mins..some are an hour or two..total blllaahhhh lol


I'm doing some shopping this weekend, and every sat eve i hang out with my neice and watch a movie..then after that i take her home and crack open a few drinks..don't know if we're going out, my guy and i like to hit the casino on wknds..we'll see how tired he is..he's been doin alot of 12hrs shifts..

Ah, it's amazing one some conference calls can be short, quick and to the point, and others can go on forever, especially if you have that conversation that ens up going around in circles forever it seems.

Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Shopping for anything particular, or just shopping to shop. That is pretty neat that you see a movie with your neice every saturday. Kudos to you. Enjoy, whatever it is you two see. As for 12 hour shifts, they do take a toll on the body, but sometimes you just need to go out and have some fun to take one's mind off of a long day. There will always be another day for rest, we all would hope.

Not sure what is in store this weekend besides doing a little grocery shopping, hitting up the library and some cleaning. And of course some football and basball mixed in. We shall see whatelse presents itself.

Hubby says that I fail because I don't get Star Trek or Star Wars. I counter by saying I loved Capt. Picard (I mean hellllooo Patrick Stewart-- yummy!) and I watch Dr. Who. What do you think?

I'm currently reading Anne Rice "Blood & Gold" it's an older book, but i didn't have it in my Anne Rice collection til a few weeks ago..

When it comes to mysteries I like old stuff like Agatha Christie.

But there is also what is considered the first English detective novel called The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. It is a bit long and somewhat dry. But if you really like mysteries it's always interesting to see the beginning of the genre. At least I think so.
I also like Sue Grafton. She does the Aphabet series. A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, etc. It is set in the 80s so it is a bit funny to read.

Tess Gerritsen is good for a suspense. Be careful if you watch Rizzoli & Isles on TV. The TV characters are nothing like the book characters!

Ummm... will have to think about more mysteries as it has been a while since I have read a really good one.

SciFi-- have you ever checked out Piers Anthony? There is a series done about the Grim Reaper I think that I thought was interesting. Or there is the series Game of Thrones (yes it has been turned into an HBO series but the books are great. More fantasy that Sci, but still good.)

Ah, thanks for the tips indeed. I've always wanted to read one of Tess Gerritsen's novels but not quite sure why I haven't yet. I do have the first 2 books in the Game of Thrones, though I haven't finished them due to wanting something a bit different. I appreciated the help truly.
