This report on CNN indicates a much closer relationship between Obama and Ayers them either if them care to admit.

There are similar indicators connecting Obama to Acorn. Also his knowledge (or ignorance of) (take your pick) of Rev Wright's ideals don't shine well for Obama. Even Oprah left his church sometime in the nineties, one of the reasons sited was she didn't like his "incendiary sermons".

Add a heapin' helpin' of his questionable citizenship and toss in a few other controversies to spice it up and it tastes pretty bitter to me.

Any one thing might be overlooked - but not all of them.

Fortunately, 52% of the voters either did not care about those connections, or they considered them to be positive factors. Bill Ayers actively opposed an immoral war. Rev. Wright made Christianity relevant to the lives of poor blacks. ACORN has made their lives easier.

If you think any of that's a GOOD thing then you have serious problems.

52% of the people voted for him because all of the afore mentioned stuff was glossed over by the media. If the media had dug into Obama;s past half as hard as they did Joe the Plumber's or Sarah Palin's he wouldn't have made it.

Bill Ayers did not kill anyone. John McCain did. What he did was far worse. What Ayers did was wrong only because it was counter productive. That kind of thing angered the voters into electing hawkish politicians who prolonged the War in Vietnam.
