Was banned today from the literotica chatroom. well, you must be thinking...if they banned you...there must have been a reason...well, there is. The Reason is because i asked questions and decided not to be a sheep. I offended lit chats duke of york by challengeing his right to be our moral concience while at the same time being a complete hypocrit. I didn't swear, i didn't yell, i did not harass anyone, all of which are bannable offences unless your name is SJ...the very same non CM who banned me..go figure.

but what the hell, right? there are other chat sites, ones with Chat masters who believe in impartiality and rules that apply to everyone...not just the people your not good friends with. I have my bloody nose mr schoolground bully...you can smile and steal my lunch money now...

To my friends, i will miss you, lot of good times in the lit lounge, been 9 months since i first started comeing here and its sad things turn out like they do.

Dru - sorry to hear that it has happened but not surprised - it is typical of the nonsence that has been going on in Lit chat for a long time- people who aren't CM's with the boot and ban powers playing little gods. What was once a great place to go to is now a joke.

Ya know, I wasn't gonna make another post on this, but after thinking about it, I decided I would. I have been in lit as CM several times, had potential problems arise, defused them, had them under control, when from no where the "phantom booter" showed up and booted the person. I received numerous emails over the period of being a cm, asking why was I booted/banned. Turns out that the phantom booter/banner may have been responsible. Put the rest of the CM's in a bad light with the users. I said then, and I say now, it a person has the boot/ban button, why be afraid to show that authority? Show your true colors. Don't hide. I never did, never will.

Imagine this if you will. You have a favorite nightclub that you go to. All the boucers wear bright yellow shirts, and they are easily recognizable. Now imagine that there is one regular guy at the club, we'll call him Joe, who isn't a bouncer that anyone knows of, but yet always seems to be escorting people out the door because at times the bouncers aren't around, and at other times, Joe doesn't like the way someone is acting. Now imagine the club is a no-smoking club, and that very same Joe smokes, routinely, with no one saying anything to him, and when they did, they were told that, "Oh well, Joe has been around heere since it opened, he's allowed to." Let me continue here, if you'll allow. Now imagine that said Joe doesn't like how scantily you're dressed, and points you to the more flamboyant dance floor upstair because of your dress, with the underlying tone being that if you don't choose the dance floor upstairs, you too will be shown the door. You must also imagine that this club you frequent is borderline risque.

Now Angel, I know you tell him to find another chat room, and I'm sure Druzil has, but I believe that might be what he was trying to get across.

Alas, I'm leaving the cyber world for a month in 4 days, so I can't say I'm worried too much about it anymore, just a few of the friends I've met over it.

I was in the chat LONG before I was on the BBs, sorry. I didn't like it anymore so I stopped going. Simple as that. I can voice my opinion on the matter too.

It always amazes me how people that truly have no interest in a topic but just can't resist adding something to a thread so they can see their name on the board.

Laurel, we all know that the chat room is not something you care to worry about as much as you do the stories and authors of this site. But a lot of people came to the site as chatters and have contributed stories in the process.

I was in the chat room tonight and watched as Ksss and belle threatened to ban CodeManDingo for using language they did not approve of in the lounge.

Let me ask this in all seriousness please. Do the CM’s not have the same banner ads of girls giving blowjobs or ads asking you to pick what you want to have the young slut do for you?

Is foul language in an adult chat site that plainly states no minors allowed, truly a ban-able offense or is that just a choice of the Gods and Goddesses making the rules?

I watched as belle told a chatter to take his cap lock off or she would boot him. Ksss was angered because CodeManDingo accused her and belle both of abusing their CM powers which they immediately decided to prove him right on as Ksss made comments about preparing to put on her show of banning him while belle got the "broom" out to clean up the mess. Had SJ logged on and began his usual spewing of KISSES AND HUGS TO ALL THE LADIES, starting with the ass-kissing of the CM’s, the comment about his cap lock, which has been on permanent lock for the last year and a half, would have not been made to him.

The man was not doing anything offensive to anyone. He made a few comments about how he was chatting with someone in private that had warned him that the people with nicks in blue would ban him if he challenged them and did not chat the way they wanted him too.

I know for a fact this was what he was doing also. How? Because, I was the one warning him. I have been chatting and posting stories on this site for over a year and a half and have seen this abuse so often that I feel compelled to warn the victims of their powers when I see it in action.

I read Ksss’s comments on another thread talking about how the chatroom has more people chatting there than it use to. But how many of those people are the same ones that were here when the site started? Very few. I hardly recognize any of them anymore. They have all left due to the abuse and politics that the CM’s involve themselves in.

These people who log in that chat room that are newbies, are not aware of the "rules" that for some reason include no public discussion of sex. I really have yet to see anything on this site that most new visitors would be likely to log into that does not in some way pertain to sex.

So many people have logged in here for many reasons. Some are here to read, some are here to chat, some are here just to post topics and have discussions on the BB. Shouldn't they all be treated the way we would want to be treated in the forum for which We choose to log into Lit?

If the chat room means nothing to the site, why not pull the plug and avoid all the crap associated with the abuse of power that seems to be rampant in that area of the site?

But try and remember, a lot of chatters are there chatting and still reading and writing for Literotica.

Laurel why don’t you log in there some time anonymously and see for yourself what happens. Are there set rules and guidelines for the CM’s to follow or do they make them up as they go along?

As for the others that will feel compelled to respond to this but don’t really care about it, try imagining someone banning you from the BB for disagreeing with them. What if they decided you are using language that offends them? Or how about, they say you are abusing the BB by posting anything, anywhere, at anytime in a way they don’t approve of? What if they censored you here the way they sensor the chat room? Would you still make the ridiculous comments that it doesn’t matter to you? Would you like to have someone respond to your valid concerns with “go somewhere else and start your own board?”

Probably not. So let those of us who are concerned about the chat room on this site have a place to voice our opinions without your witty BS responses that are only meant to amuse you and belittle the rest?
And if you were once a chatter there but disgusted and left it behind, think about what made you leave. Are any of those reasons mentioned in this? Were your reasons as valid to you as our concerns are to us?

Laurel please take these comments into consideration. It could be something that should be looked into since there seem to be so many questions as to what goes on in the chat room and how your CM's operate.

How long have people been bitching about chat? For as long as I've been at Lit. How long have people been bitching about the BBs? Same amount of time.

Don't assume that just because I don't use the name Angel in chat that I don't even go in there. I chatted way before I posted. And like I said, I grew to dislike everything about it so I left. Life went on. I pop in once in awhile, talk to some people and leave. I still think it sucks but thats just me.

Someday when if I start to dislike how the board is, I'll leave. My entire life does not revolve around Lit. If there are people I want to keep in contact with there is E-Mail and IMs.

Simply put, Laurel has said a billion times that she trusts her CMs. She's addressed the issue over and over and over again. If there are valid problems she takes care of them. (I'm not saying that your problems aren't valid, I'm speaking in general)

I never said you had to leave if you don't like it. You don't HAVE to do anything. I put my OPINION quite simply. If I don't like the way something is run, I leave. I can't demand that something be done everytime I get pissed off.




I bet if we all bitch enough about how horrible chat is, or how horrible the boards are, if we keep whining and pissing and moaning about why can't Laurel do this or that, the boards and chat will become memories.

My 2 cents

You know the worse part in all of this? We’re all losing our times, trying to get Laurel to see that there is a problem in lit-chat, that rules need to be set up, that ALL should follow, old regs, cm’s off duty, the pope (I had to put in there), newbies. Obviously she is too busy and trusts Loco’s judgement on the issue. But maybe just maybe the guy, isn’t up to the job anymore, too much conflicts, issues, no more sense of impartiality, friendships getting in the way of judgement. You can be lied by your best friends you know, it happens.

From all the threads that as pop up in the last months, crying for your attention from the regular chatters of literotica, I think it is obvious that something needs to be done. You lost one of your good cm’s Budman because of all the bullshit that’s going on there, and I can’t speak for the second one, but I’m pretty sure it must be for similar reasons. I too was a cm, and resigned because I was tired of the bs, the power trips that some would go through, and didn’t agree with some of the politics. IT’S MY WAY OR NO WAY! YOU KEEP HEARING.

Druzil was banned for asking and pointing out that a very famous reg was aloud to use caps ALL THE TIME (when a chatter uses caps, he gets 2-3 warnings, if he doesn’t, we boot him out.), that this reg was also pming (private messages) ladies without asking first in the lounge (if you go in chat you have a Profiles that shows up explaining that if you don’t follow that rule, you may be booted out.). I have booted and banned people for not observing that rule. His behavior was considered disruptive and he was banned. But having a guy shout in the lounge all day with his kisses, hugs, hellos is not disruptive for the common chatter? Why the fudge do we bother to boot the ones that uses caps in the first place then????

Don’t you find it Hypocrit to see a guy write “LOSE THE CAPS ASSHOLE”???

Tonight again, I asked a cm why that reg can use caps? Why can that reg can pm without asking first? And I received no answers. I will never get an answer and any of you chatters will have it. He is the best buddy of Loco and he can do as he please because he has been in the chat room since the first day. So if you are not in good terms with that persona, you won’t stay long in lit chat. Don’t you dare disagree with him or question his behavior.

So if you (Laurel and/or Loco) think that the best way to solve your problem is banning people who asks questions, points out privileges, keep on. I don’t think it’s the solution. But believe it or not, a lot of people who come in chat, do read the stories, contribute with stories on the site, click on banners. We are as much as part of this community as the bbers, writers. And we need to point out that something is not working well in the chat room. I really think that chat rules should be posted on the main page, and that the cm’s follow them, no exception.

Yes we can go to another chat room, but that’s putting aside the problem that will keep coming again and again. Why not solve it? We love this place enough to tell Laurel something is not working well, and not just ignore it. There is always place for improvements in everything, but if you don’t point it out, nobody will do a damn thing to ameliorate the situation. You cannot fix what you don’t know is broken.

You can flame me, ban me, but I know that a lot of people think the same I do, but don’t have the guts to say it out loud.

And my last comment are questions for Angel : How do you know that Laurel takes care of the chat problems? Ever thought she leaves it to her cm to resolve them? What if you have a problem with the head one? Will he solve your problem?

I didn't say I know, I said that she SAID. In the past.

I also didn't imply that you didn't have a valid problem. I was pointing out my view in general. I'm sure that if she agrees that there is a problem, she'll fix it. My point is that IF. (IF IF IF IF In case certain people can't read) IF she decides that things are being handled the way she wants them, then you have to live with it and thats all there is to it.



There is alot of unfair shit on the board. I deal. Some deal with it in other ways. I guess I'm the type of person who doesn't mess around too much with a good thing, lest the owner decide it is more trouble that it's worth and take it away.
