It has been suggested that Woods left the industry and started a new, anonymous life where she would not be known by her past as a porn star.
In publicity for Debbie Does Dallas it was sometimes claimed that Woods had been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (for example a theatrical trailer, available in re-release DVD extras, has Woods stating "Hi my name is Bambi Woods, and it's interesting that I was chosen for this part in this movie because in real life I was a Dallas Cowgirl".) yet this is untrue - it has been claimed that she did in fact try out for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, yet failed.
