Ball question

One of my SO's balls feels somewhat tender to him lately, and I've noticed that it feels more dense than the other one. Like, it feels harder, when I gently pressure it than the other one does. He's made a doctor's appointment about it, but does anyone have any idea about what it might be?

Best to get it checked. But they change size and texture with age....mine our balling bowl size. Hell jogging!
