What do you do at the playground, Playground Director?
Spin things?

No I just read the post straight out didn't you? Others have done a good job spinning this thread and it's original intent into the ground, I do not spin.

Every time I see that name, "Playground Director", I think of Marcy Playgroung. Weird.

"I do not spin."

Oh, go on, PD. Just one spin for us, please! You know you want to and it's so much fun being dizzy.

More interested in Buddhism and Tao really, CB, 'cause there isn't a god(dess) at the top of the ladder but I might read it one day 'cause a lot of those stories from old religions and myths are really interesting. The religion that brought us the Kama Sutra is always going to be a fascinating read. It'd make a good movie actually - Shiva and his wife Shakti go off into the mountains and don't come back down till they've copulated in pretty much every position possible.

All poor Moses got was a tablet full of rules. No Fair!

I've not read a lot into it, CB. All my info comes from 'The Tao Of Physics' by Fritjof Capra. He has a chapter on Hinduism and says that there are thousands of deities but the three most worshipped by Hindus today are Shiva, Vishnu and the Divine Mother, Shakti, who - like the other two - appears again and again under many guises:

"Shakti also appears as Shiva's wife and the two are often shown in passionate embraces in magnificent temple sculptures which radiate an extraordinary sensuousness of a degree completely unknown in any Western religious art. Contrary to most Western religions, sensuous pleasure has never been surpressed in Hinduism, because the body has always been considered to be an integral part of the human being and not separated from the spirit."

It's a really good book that, by an American Physics Professor who draws links between Eastern philosophies and modern ideas about physics.

What I think.

I don't remember who said this earlier in the thread, but you can't write what you don't have in you (or something like that). While I haven't gone through and compared stories to authors' board personas, I've noticed a few similarities in passing. I think what we write is an expression of ourselves. Sure, there is outside inspiration and things that come out of left field, but every word is translated through the author into the work. I don't see how an author's personality can avoid leaking into his/her writing.

On the topic of 'dark' writing, I have nothing against dark. My usual writing tends toward horror. Now, in my RL, I don't eviscerate small animals or set fires. I'd like to think I'm fairly well adjusted. However, there is a variety of 'dark' that I personally don't get into. I might be putting virtual words in Ambro's mouth and if so, I apologize in advance, but I think the distinction here is the variety of dark that's kind of pointless. It's all seemingly random violence with no motive, no resolution, and no real plot. It strikes me as lashing out put to words. No offense intended, but that doesn't seem particularly creative to me.

I've not seen any of those stories here. What specific ones do you mean, Naudiz? Or, at least, what category are they under? Also, do you mean there are particular board members who've written those specific stories, and that their BB persona comes through in their fiction?

Another thing that really bites is when some little twit gets all pissed off at me cause I said something on the board and goes and "1's" my stories. I know this happened because the little twit emailed me an anonymous feed back. Something along the lines of "take that bitch! 111111111111!!!!"

*shrugs* people are stupid sometimes.

Perhaps there is a Susy Sunshine somewhere who thinks your anonymous twit should be given a firm talking-to, but - just to let MY dark side peek out - I think about strapping him/her naked to a bed frame in a puddle of water with jumper cables attached to their genitals.

Don't DO it, but I sure think it!

:) I don't have a dark side. I'm sweet and wonderful and innocent and compassionate and empathetic and naive and I never ever ever never ever ever never ever do anything that would bring harm or pain of any kind to my brother creatures on this great big planet we call home.

Cute. There's a difference between constructive criticism and potshots, you said so yourself.

 I can potshot at myself all I want. Toughy stuffy if you don't like it.

I'm not referring to any particular stories at this site per se, but in general, in stories I've read throughout the net, erotica themed and otherwise. I do actually read a lot of stuff that isn't on Literotica. :) Off-hand, I wouldn't be able to name names because I haven't gone through and compared BB personas to authors.

I honestly am making very general statements about different styles of writing I've seen over -years- worth of reading, not just my few months here. There seemed to be some question about what 'dark' entails, and I was offering my opinion on the matter; that there are different kinds of 'dark' writing. That's all. :)

LOL, It's okay CB, it's not like ya'll know me that well and I can be misunderstood really easily. I do it all the time. I'm not that good at subtlety.

Dagnabbit, Roger, I went and read every new story posted on 1/26 and 1/27 trying to uncover your scam. You made me miss the boring bowl. No wonder I couldn't figure it out. I was beginning to think my "powers" had diminished.

But you know what, I did find a new story I wrote which was posted on 1/27 under a pseudodym. I forget about it, you know, a blonde moment. It's a real happy-go-fucky sweet little story. For the life of me I can't understand why no one knew it was me, even members of this BB who sent me feedback.

So what if he did? So fucking WHAT?!?! It's a STORY, it doesn't matter shit to anyone but YOU!! Why the hell is it your mission in life to "expose" people? If you think everyone here's a liar then LEAVE!!! No one would cry too much, trust me. I haven't seen you say one nice word to ANYONE, EVER.

You shoulda been banned a long long time ago.

I have a hunch about this one.

If you notice that in the New Stories for 1/26 there are two stories, "Madonna: The REAL Girlie Show Ch. 2" by Alexander Tzara and "So, You Wanna Be a Porn Star?" by Roger Simian. Both damn good stories, BTW, I gave both of them a 5.

Now, this here Alexander dude also wrote a story "Sally's Embarrassing Moment" which is one of those 100 words or less stories and got almost all 1's. Also, not that I would accuse anyone of having multiple identities or anything, but rumor has it that Roger/Alexander is also author Rachel Picabia.

My point? I think Roger Simian is squirrel bait. Totally nuts. The way I figure it, he probably wrote another story which I No What is talking about. I bet Roger really dumbed down and wrote a cutesy little fuck story where he played the girlie once again.

I'll expose his (her?) sorry ass as soon as I figure out which story it is.

Here's one to think about. Deborah thinks everyone's nuts but HER!!! What does that tell ya?

Woah, SHUT UP ALREADY (and your buddy AGAIN). Chill babe/dude. Deborah's right I am rodent fodder (nuts). I am also Alexander Tzara and Rachel Picabia. No big secret there. I've said it myself many times.

Don't assume that everything Debz writes is an acidic attack on the poor defenceless posters of the Literotica Board. We're just having a private joke about the fact I've submitted a story under yet another fake persona. The poor girl like's playing Miss Marple. Let her have her fun.

Did you jump to my defence 'cause you thought I'd genuinely been wronged or was it 'cause you saw a nice little hook to hang all your own grievances on?

***

Naudiz - thanks for explaining that. I just wanted to clarify what you meant.
