This thread reminded me of the movie "Lakeview Terrace", which featured a similar massive fire in Oakland, at it's end.

Excellent movie, as in plot and acting. It also tackles interracial issues which would be an interesting topic for discussion, given that they're such a hot topic in the GB.

I lived close to The Station night club fire. Great White was playing and they set off fireworks. Over 100 people dead, not enough exits to get out.

I was at The Station almost a year to the day before the fire happened.

The night I was there, they set off two fireworks cannons on either side of an old 80s rocker, wearing zebra-print pants. The owners were asking for a disaster.
