A friend of mine worked on it...

He said that Hopkins' phoned in his performance and didn't get along with Schumacher. Also the script was basically unfinished and worked on day-to-day(which is a terrible place to be).

Hehe I didn't want to mention this before you watched it though, on the off-chance you enjoyed it ;D
