Back from the eighties

Falco was a big celebrity when I was growing up in Germany. A few of his songs turned up on American Top 40, but they never lasted long. Just like Nina, though, Falco had a huge following throughout central Europe.

Those of you who don't know that song, will probably know this one: Amadeus. ;)

Frank Sinatra once said that no real music had been written since the 1970s. I concur.

Yeah, I know Amadeus. I have the German and English versions in mp3. The one Seacat posted, however, I've never heard and I thought I'd heard just about everything from the 80s. :)

Whereas I consider the eighties the second golden age of music. ;)

The SO recently got a new car which has XM satellite radio. One of the stations is called Hair Nation and plays 80s glam rock exclusively. I thought I knew everything from the 80s, too, until I started listening to this station. :p

You mean there was a FIRST golden age? ;)

I really need to invest in one of those, with as much as I love my 80s music, especially the glam rock and 'hair' bands, I think I'd love that station.

Remember Vixen?

(I actually had a pair of ankle boots like that [without the heels, I would've broken my neck] complete with 'spurs' ...well it was actually a pair of bootstraps.)

Sorry for the threadjack. I see '80s' as a topic and I kind of forget who I am for a moment. :)
