My absence is due to a great influx of all manner of responsibility, concentration and labour that would break a lesser man and dumfound a woman completely.

I doubt that Baconsides has 'turniped to mush', more likely he's planning his next plot. I believe it is based loosely on the TV show 'Big Brother' but will be known as 'Big Blackguard' with only he and I being the male members of yon cast.
