I had to go away and actually work ("WERK!" as Maynard G Crebbs would say.) for a while. Believe it or not I had to purchase a common peice of audio gear - in Left Coast Sandy fucking-Ago and Fed-X it back here to Manhattan because there are none of this damn black box thingies here - in fucking New York!!!!
