Avast Ye!

Hannah's heart pounded as she sat in the corner of the small cabin room with her knees drawn up to her chest. The motion of the ship was making her quesy, she was beginning to feel weak with hunger and thirst, and she was frightened.

The four crewmen, whose cramped cabin she now occupied alone, had found her gazing dreamily at their ship, the Bloodmoney. The men were drunk on rum when they found her by the ship that night and offered to give her a brief tour of the vessel before letting her get back to the tavern. Hannah should have known better but she so dearly wanted to step onto the ship that she convinced herself that the drunken men were just being good natured and were fairly harmless.

The tour consisted in her being brought to the small cabin room whereupon she was quickly stripped of her cotton dress and panties. Mercifully the men were too drunk to rape her. After stripping her and a while of clumsy groping and laughing two of the men fell sound asleep in their hammocks, and she was able to placate the other two and lull them to sleep by sucking their cocks. Exhausted by her night of work at the tavern and this unfortunate encounter she slept curled up naked on the floor.

She was so tired that she wasn't awoken by the roar that woke the four crewmen, "ALL HANDS ON DECK!". The hungover men scrambled out of their hammocks and rushed out of the room. Hannah was left alone. It was only when the great ship began to move and the creaking became ever louder that she finally woke up. She was terrified. After a while she regained her composure enough to retrieve her dress and panties. She sat down in the corner of the room clutching her legs close to her chest.

The insecurity in Jack's eyes...

Sabre was just as confused, if not more, as him. Jack was a pirate captain, why was he being so kind to her? What had she done to deserve that? The sheer confusion... the sadness for not understanding or even knowing this kind of behaviour... more tears swelled in her eyes. And she could not explain any of this to him...

Sabre choked in her emotions. She again lowered her head in shame, crying. She didn't want Jack to see her like this. She didn't want to be taken for a weakling, a good-for-nothing, for someone useless... worth less than a human being... she didn't want to be rejected like a piece of dirty cloth and tortured and humiliated again. She had had enough of that. Had she not suffered enough? Now Jack would punish her for her weakness, remind her she was nothing but a slave, even less than that, as the firebrand on her lower back clearly stated...

Jack sighed as she lowered her head. "A very complicated girl indeed." he thought as she silently started to cry. He pulled her close to him in an embrace, trying to assure her she had nothing to be sad about. He could sense she wanted some space, but wanted to assure her everything would be alright. "This is a pirate ship. We will see blood, we will see death, we will visit pain and suffering upon people for our own benefit. But that does not mean I will go out of my way to make a valuable, and beautiful, member of my crew suffer needlessly." He kissed her on the forehead before opening the door to her cabin. He glanced back at her, "I will not chain you Sabre. We are as free as the dolphins." He bowed deeply before turning and walking out onto deck.

Once up there he swore softly, seeing Rocco's wench up there. She was quite pleasant looking he was forced to agree, but unfortunately most of his crew tended to agree as well. "Oi now!" He yelled to her, "You're distracting my crew from much needed work!" He turned and looked at Rocco, "I agreed to having this woman onboard because I figured it'd make your transition into piracy a mite bit easier. But you know what the sight of this girl will be doing to the men after a couple weeks at sea. I'd hate to have to send a perfectly able sailer off the plank because your lady here can't keep covered up. Just please try to keep her under your eye, you know what these men are capable of."

He walked up to the helm, looking out over the water, giving silent blessings for the smooth seas. He sighed as he thought about Sabre's actions in her cabin, all the while staring ahead at the wide ocean in front of him.

Rocco nodded, admitting the criticism was valid. He would personally impale on the end of his sword any pirate who would hurt Honey, but that didn't mean none of them would try, if not now, then after a few weeks or months. Well, hopefully, it wouldn't be months, he mused. There are plenty of friendly coves and ports they could stop at, with full-breasted, easy wenches on which the horny pirates could discharge all their pent up spunk. Still, no sense in tempting fate. He roared at a few gawking hands to go back to work, and grabbed Honey by the collar of her shirt, like a pretty puppy.

"What do you think you are doing, coming out here like this?" He told her quietly. "Go button up your shirt to the top. Take my scarf and wrap it tightly around your chest. I don't want these," he grabbed her breast and gave it a firm squeeze before letting it go, "bouncing around and giving the men any ideas about you. And hide that pretty hair under a hat or a headscarf. Make yourself look like a boy when you're on deck. You can be a woman down in my cabin." He smiled. "Now go."

Sabre cried, but this time... this time it felt good. Jack did not think any less of her for her outburst. He was a far better person than she could have suspected. Hugging herself, she slumped onto her bed, and sighed, grinning. Things just couldn't get better, and Jack was earning total loyalty from her with barely any effort.

Free like the dolphins... Tears of happyness rolled down onto the sheets. The incredibly romanticism... and something else. His words were beyond a pirate captain's, or so she guessed. Embarrassed, she wiped her tears off and looked out of the cabin's window. The blue sky, the sound of the ship braving the waters... Sabre felt her life was 'clean', that it was not dark anymore, that somehow she had redeemed herself, or been forgiven...

It was so hard to explain...

The next several days past fairly uneventfully, Jack felt his confidence growing as a captain as each day passed, felt he was earning the respect of his crew thanks to his decisive leadership and the ease with which orders were carried out thanks to Rocco's presence. Even Sabre seemed to be doing better, she looked happier, and the touch of joy and innocence he had seen when he showed her the dolphins seemed to be lingering longer these days.

They were running a Spanish merchant flag, as most of the vessels down in these seas were Spanish and it would allow them to blend in easier. On the fourth day at sea Jack was standing on deck, admiring the morning view when one of his men yelled down from the crow's nest "Ship off the starboard bow!" Jack turned and looked, seeing faint movement to his right in the water. "Can you mark her?" He yelled back at the man. Several moments later the crewman responded "Looks like a light sloop! Running a pirate flag! And coming about to intercept!" Jack chuckled. A light sloop would be no match for the Blood Money, every sailor on board knew it, but the sloop must have marked him as easy prey, seeing the nondescript merchant vessel and flag.
"ALL HANDS TO DECK!" Jack yelled, rousing all the men to him. "We've lain the bait out and it looks like we've got our first catch gentlemen. A pirate sloop, running light by the looks of it." He grinned evilly. "This'll be a good chance to test you unseasoned sailors mettle. I want to let them get in close. Nice and close. Then we're going to open up on them with everything we have!"

Sabre slammed the door to the cabins open, and stepped beside Jack with a hand on her sabre's hilt, and a grin on her face. First blood for the crew, it seemed...

Sabre wondered what ship-to-ship combat was all about. Oh sure, she knew about the guns and the boarding, but what about tactics? What do you aim for, what do you send your men to take? That kind of thing, she was not sure about... but Jack most assuredly knew.

Jack told the helmsmen to turn away from the oncoming sloop. "Make it look like we're running with our tails between our legs. I'm betting they'll want to take the ship with as little damage as possible, so we'll have time to lure them close in and I don't want them smelling the trap early on."

A tense couple of hours later the sloop had gained steadily on the Blood Money and Jack could see the crew on deck through his looking glass hauling out their forward guns. Two shots were fired, missing wide on the port side. "That'll be the warning shots." Jack pointed up to the flag. "Strike our colors, let them know we'll be surrendering peacefully, we don't want any trouble after all." He laughed as he walked down to the gunners deck, Sabre in tow. "I want you to hit them hard, a full barrage with every gun as soon as they close. Keep the guns hidden till then. Half round shot and half grape shot. I want their crew and guns out of commission as soon as possible." The gunner nodded and started shouting orders to his men.

Jack turned to Sabre and called Rocco over. "Rocco, you'll be staying on board to supervise the gunning, using the small guns on the crew, and don't be afraid to order another round from the big ones if we look like we're being overrun." Rocco nodded his affirmation as Jack turned to Sabre. "You and I will be leading the boarding party. I want you and your group to secure the guns on the main deck while me and mine will secure the helm." He drew his cutlass, examining the blade on it. "Time to let the Carribean see what we're made of."

Hannah estimated that she had spent three nights in the ship's hold, but she couldn't be sure as it was always pitch dark and the dank still air made her dizzy and disoriented at times. She had been able to find food and drink there but she knew she would have to move out.

When she heard the blast of the cannons it spurred her on and she finally left her hiding place and climbed a ladder to the orlop. As she slowly and secretly made her way along and up through the decks she got a chance to look out of a port hole and she saw the other ship. At first she felt delighted, thinking that the spanish had come for these horrid pirates, but her heart sank when she realised it was a sloop flying the jolly roger. She decided it wouldn't be a safe time to go on the main deck and so found a temporary place to hide.

Honey Jones

After her first day she learned her lesson being on board the Pirate ship, Its been Three days past and she was haveing exotic dreams almost a dream like no other when she slept with Rocco...She wanted to ask him but when the Captain yelled about another ship...

She stayed in their room she looked out the window ..She had her hair covered as well as her breast at all times...She was scared afraid of what was going on but she knew it would be safer where she was ...

Rocco taught her a few things of selfdefence but she didn't get much more teaching at the moment...She was scared as she wrung her hands wanting to do something but not sure what to do ...

Rocco nodded in silent agreement with the battleplan. He walked out with everyone and herded the prodigious amounts of pirates that came up to the upper deck.

"Down below, ye scurvy dogs!" He roarded. "The lot of you will scare her off. Down, go!" He added a few sharp smacks and shoves, and in no time at all the upper deck of the pirate ship looked to all the world like a poorly-manned merchantman's.

Going down below Rocco suddenly realized that they couldn't fire in advance without blowing their masquerade. The main gunports were occupied by beast cannons, just a few shots from which would scare the enemy off, but opening smaller, secondary ports while keeping the main ones closed will look nothing like a merchantman, who would have his small guns in the main ports. They'd smell a rat and flee as well! He laughed, and decided to wait instead, having offered Jack advice to strike their colours and wait without resistance.

In the meantime, he prepared, having the men fill up half of the cannons with grape-like shot, essentially turning the cannons into massive shotguns, and the rest with mean charges made up of tangled chains. The chains would open up in flight and when they hit would rip out massive chunks of sail cloth, shredding them, making what remains flap in the wind helplessly without propelling the ship any further. He avoided round cannonball shot. It's two main benefits were the ability to rip the ship's hull apart, and the long range, neither of which was needed at the moment. Although the captain said nothing of taking this sloop intact, Rocco rather liked the vessel. She would allow them to chase down those prey who might not want to attack the masquerading flagship.

Finally, the pirate was in point-blank range and Rocco gave the order. They were so close that they could hear troubled cries from the gleeful pirate: "Ei, she's opening 'er gunports!" And curses the likes of which you'd not hear anywhere except the sea flew.

But opening the ports and rolling in the guns was a quick trick to pull, and a short while later the broadside of the 'merchantman' spewed fire. The grapes went to sloop's own gunports, cutting down the number of gunners quite dramatically and stopping them from firing back. The chains, of course, went to the main sails, and a few moments later the sloop was dead in the water, barely moving under the power of her auxillary sails. She couldn't escape now, and as a hundred feet stumped up the ladders onto the main deck, the pirates already there threw boarding hooks, pulling the two ships together. Now, the real battle was going to begin!

Rocco's men reloaded quickly and watched over the battle on sloop's deck, ready to wipe out absolutely everything with their cannons, should the battle's tide turn in the wrong direction.

The battle was over almost before it began. The sloop pulled into range, seeing a poorly manned Spanish merchant, expecting this to be easy booty for them. Jack stood on deck, having a white flag, indicating his wish to surrender, and then when the sloop was almost close enough for Jack to smell the rum on the sailor's breathe Rocco opened fire. The gun ports slid open and the cannons roared, sending steel and death whirring into the sloop. Half the crew was downed by the vicious grape shot, tearing limbs off some, blasting holes through stomachs while the ship herself was left dead in the water from the chain shot ripping through her sails.

Jack pulled his cutlass and gave a cry of triumph as his men boarded the ship. The disorganization and chaos led to haphazard resistance from the sloop's crew, and Sabre's fearsome swordplay caused the sailor's manning the guns to throw down their weapons in surrender. Jack meanwhile fought with his crew up to the helm, securing the ships steering and forcing the captain to order his men to stand down with Jack's cutlass at his throat. "Search their hold! See what we've got onboard!" Several crew members ran below deck, returning several minutes later with a small inventory. "Luxury goods, a fair amount of gold coin and some slaves below deck." the crewman reported.

Jack contemplated for a minute before announcing "Divvy up the gold amongst the crew, make sure everyone gets their share. We'll sell the goods at the next port we're in." He turned and looked across his new prize. The damage was mostly superficial, nothing a couple of days couldn't fix. "Bring those slaves up on deck please." He waited till they were brought up; 10 men of native Carribean descent, dark-skinned. "Does one of you speak English? Or French?" He repeated in both languages. One timidly raised his hand and responded that he spoke a little English. "Ah good, tell your friends they will be given their freedom if they will crew with me on this vessel." The slave repeated the offer ot the others who stood wide eyed before responding in a language Jack had never heard. "They agree to your terms, as do I" The slave responded shaking Jack's hand. "The same goes for all of you," Jack yelled across the ship's deck. "I be taking this ship as booty and anyone who wishes to remained aboard it to crew shall be allowed. Anyone else will be put upon a longboat and left to fend for themselves, understand?" The men nodded their understanding. Jack heard a commotion behind him and turned and saw the captain of the ship had overpowered the man watching him and was turning towards Jack, pistol at the ready. Jack cringed expecting to be shot dead, when a flash to steel crossed his vision and the captain slumped to the floor, a slightly curved knife sticking out of his chest. "Thank you Sabre." Jack beamed at her, silently thanking whatever luck he still had left.

Jack took Rocco aside a few minutes later after all the crew had decided remaining with their ship under Jack's employ was preferable to being left in the middle of the ocean on a longboat. "I want you to take command of this ship. I've got some ideas in my head about things we'll be able to do with two ships under our emply, and I'd be most comfortable with you commanding her. Sound good?" He asked holding his hand out to Rocco.

The sight of pirates' efficiency in victory impressed Rocco. The free men, one would think, will turn to chaos and celebration in their triumph, but this crew before Rocco's very eyes and with only a few good smacks and stinging yells was carrying the goods and gold back from the captured sloop, securing the prisoners, releasing slaves. In no time at all the matter was organized, the crew was mixed in proper proportions, and the pirate fleet counted two ships, almost fully ready for anything.

The sloop was called, Merry Robin', with the final tiny quote painted so very dimly on her bow and stern that one could not see it even in a spyglass until it would be too late to escape. Rocco laughed at this display of pirate humor. He'd have to make sure to ask one of her old crewmen how the name came about. For now, he had other business.

Honey, of course, got to move to the sloop with him as well. He had to smile when he saw her after the battle. Fighting on this scale always makes an impression on any newbie sailor, let alone a pretty girl, even a courageous one.

Later, when the sun disappeared over the horizon, Rocco left the decks and went down to his new cabin. Although he was now the head of the ship, the captain's cabin on the little sloop was even smaller than his cabin was back on the flagship. He lit a candle, whose soft flames danced, sending a pleasant orange glow over the wood, leaving shadows of all shapes and sizes quivering around the walls. He sat next to Honey as they consumed the last meal of the day and asked her what she felt like during the fight.

She smiled at Rocco and his new ship as they were haveing their first meal as him being Captain...She looked around the Cabin it was bigger and nicer then the last one ..

She had alot more to do .. Though she did kill someone and was still shocked that she had too...But she realised it was either that or get hurt ..she didn't want to tell him that ..

Honey looked at Rocco she was likeing him more and more he was a wonderful man in her eyes and have taught her some much "I was scared it was my first up close battle, I think I need to learn to protect my self more from men like my father as the ones you raided " she smiled because she reconised the ship "My dear Rocco you have ambushed one of my fathers Ships " she laughed at the Irony of it all ..

"I can diffently say I have learned alot , but I been feeling strange around you Rocco and I'm not sure how to explain it other then butterflies in my tummy" she looked away blushing not sure how to explain these tingle and strange sensation between her legs.

They talked about the battle a little, he congratulating her with surviving, even though she had to fight. Considering who she was up against, it was quite a feat. Then, after they finished eating, he grinned as she started flirting with him, so innocently, perhaps even not realizing what she was doing. So, she had butterflies in her stomach, and below when she was near him! Not the thing to keep a seaman calm, and Rocco for all his nightly masturbation, was incredibly hungry for love at the moment. He played along with her little suggestive comment. Placing his hand on her stomach, he rubbed it slowly.

"Right there, Honey?" He smiled, moving closer to her, letting her shoulder touch his big chest. Then he moved his hand to rub her thighs, one after the other, and finally, he slid it down between her legs, caressing her sex through the loose pants. "Does that feel good?"

"You have to breathe, Honey," he noted at her quiet, hastened sighs and gasps. "Take off your shirt and unwrap that tight scarf off your chest. Nobody will see you here," he smiled, but, of course, wasn't about to look away.

Sabre was sitting on her bed, cleaning her weapon. Brandishing it, she twirled it around like a whirlwind, and was satisfied with the way it shined. The fight had been pretty easy, and she had not needed to kill more than ten men to get the others to surrender. It was, all in all, a good job.

Also, adding another ship to the fleet would be good. That way, it wouldn't look suspicious that a lone merchant ship was sailing around in pirate-infested waters. From here on, things might get better.

With a contented sigh, Sabre laid down on her bed, resting from the fight, and wondering how those slaves were faring. She felt a kind of... connection, to them, and hoped they would have a good life on board, while it lasted.

Jack smiled as his new ship followed him off port. He had all sorts of fun ideas for uses with this ship, fast bait to draw a ship into a trap, or even set up a decoy to make it look like the Blood Money was a merchant under attack by a pirate vessel. Yes she'd make a fine addition to the fleet.

Jack rapped his knuckles on Sabre's door, waiting a few seconds before pushing it open. He saw her laying in her bed but still awake. "I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on a job well done. You're worth at least ten men in combat if today was any indication." He chuckled. "Also I wanted to thank you for saving me from getting shot in the back. That would have made today a bit less glorious as far as victories go." He set down one of his good bottles of rum he'd brought with me. "Since there's not much else to do on this boat I figured we could have some more to drink and then maybe you'd be willing to help teach me the sword?"

Sabre shook her head, grinning humourously at Jack. True, getting killed does put a dent on victories...

She left her sword on the floor beside the bed, and sat on one of the two chairs. She pointed at her sword and nodded, indicating she would teach him. Although, truth be told, Sabre didn't think drinking before a lesson of swordsmanship was a good idea. She guessed they could always have a nap after getting drunk. Being in a ship could be kinda boring, aye. She wondered how sailors took the boredom, and faced it.

Leaning forwards, her elbows on the table, Sabre stared at Jack. He was a good man, no doubt. For some reason, Sabre felt all the good men were either pirates or victims. In any other place, Jack might have died pretty young...

Jack poured them both a glass of rum for what felt like the millionth time and raised his glass. "To Sabre, the fiercest warrior on the day." He winked at her and clinked his glass against hers before downing it in one pull and pouring another. "Boy that has some kick to it." He blinked, throwing a smile to Sabre as she stared at him. He wondered what she was thinking about right now. She was an enigma to Jack, but one he was fascinated with and determined to learn more about. He refilled her glass and topped himself off as he sat back staring at her over the rim of his glass, letting the rum wash away his troubles.

The rum tasted wonderful, maybe because Jack was there. Sabre smiled back, holding her glass beside her face before drinking some more. The alcohol slowly worked its magic in her system, making her blush a little bit.

It really was a pity she was a mute. Sabre was dying to talk to Jack. It was the best moment, when one is drunk and no lies are told. A no holds barred discussion. Her gaze lingered on his visage, before it drifted slowly towards her cabin's window. She got up, and walked to it, her lithe body almost dancing in the sunlight, before she opened the window.

The effect was almost blinding, but the smell of the sea and the blue waters filled her room. Sabre took a deep breath, the initial air rush ruffling her blonde hair a bit...

Jack blushed slightly as she held her glass to her cheek smiling at him. The rum was making his thoughts hazy, but all he could think of was how lovely she looked. Jack sighed softly as she rose. He wanted to know so much more about her, but her lack of voice made that quite a problem. He watched her move across the cabin, watched her slender body bathed in sunlight as she danced to the window. He wasn't sure if it was just because of the rum, but time seemed to slow down as he stared at her toned body. He breathed in, regaining a tiny amount of his conciousness as she threw the window open. He rose to stand beside her, gazing out the window. "Few things are more beautiful than the Carribean sea under an afternoon's sun." He said, staring at her in profile the whole time. "I can only name a few." He locked gazes with her.

Sabre's gaze was taken away from the sea by Jack's eyes. Her arms were crossed on her stomach, and her legs trembled just a little bit when their gazes locked. Her grip on herself went weak when she looked into those eyes, and she blushed, looking far away into the sea again.

Jack was not a normal man, just like that. Sabre took another deep breath, wondering how he was born, who his family was... it was strange in a way. She would have preferred not to know who her own family was, but now she wanted to know about Jack's.

Her eyes narrowed. Sabre felt a kind of drowsiness... probably the alcohol. The sea was mesmerising... and Jack's presence beside her was even more so. Her body felt warm all over...

Jack frowned, the rum was making his thoughts all jumbled. But one thought screamed at im through the haze: Kiss her you idiot. Part of Jack's brain wasn't sure this was a good idea, but Jack wasn't really listening to that part right now. He saw Sabre blush and turn away as he gazed into her eyes. If only he knew what she was thinking.. women were hard enough for Jack to understand when he was sober and they could talk, now he was trying to comprehend the thoughts of a mute while drunk. Still the thought screamed itself in his head. Fuck it, he thought, the worst she can do is impale me before I have any clue what's going on. That thought made him chuckle. He looked back at her. She was staring out at sea, purposefully not meeting his gaze.
"Sabre...." he said, getting her to turn her head towards him. And in that half a second when her head was in motion Jack summoned his courage and took her in his arms, kissing her deeply. He broke the kiss looking at her, trying to judge her reaction.

Her eyes widened in surprise, as a tingle ran through her body... strong like a tidal wave. It was as if someone was thrashing her insides around, and she was trapped.

What was worse... Sabre didn't know what this gesture meant. For many years, a kiss had meant something to be feared. But when she got out into the world, it meant a different thing... what did this kiss mean now? What did Jack want from her? He had been so kind... so... was the kiss another sign of kindness?

Sabre was confused to no end, at an impass. Incapable of taking a reasonable action, but to kiss Jack back. Then, Sabre noticed she was down-right flustering, and... a tingle inside her...

She stared at Jack... and putting her hands against his shoulders, she leant forwards and kissed him back, trying to find out what this all meant.

Jack silently cursed himself he'd made a big mistake he thought. Sabre stared at him and he gulped, thinking she was about to unleash her silent rage on him. He took a step backwards from the window, prepared to leave her and never speak of this again when she came forward, placing her hands on his shoulders, her lips coming to meet his.

Unfortunately her hands were the weight that a drunk Jack, already moving backward, needed in order to lose his balance. He grabbed at her as he fell, hauling her down on top of him as he landed in the bed behind him. Her waiting lips met his as he came to rest and he praised his luck yet again as she continued kissing him. He wrapped his arms around her back and kissed her back, exploring this new found intimacy.

OOC: G'night, nice developments :)
