I am not a particular fan of the Special Category Awards. There is a lot wrong with them, imo, and most of the problems have been vetted again and again, so I don't need to reiterate them.

BUT-I have been nominated in the past, in the Most Influential Author and Most Literary categories, and it feels damn good to know that even one reader holds your work in such esteem. So I encourage nominations, even if it is just a popularity contest.
