My kidlet completed his application to the ADF today.
To say I am proud of him would be a huge understatement!

I love this country with a passion,and if I had a chance to do things over, I would have joined the military myself.

Iam one superdooperproudmama right now :)

But the vent worked.... ;) However I was mightily pissed off to discover I could only post 10 mad faces!!!! When you're really mad, you want to post at least half a page full!!! :D

I would not pass the physical. Don't get me wrong.... I'm fit. But because of my many injuries over the years, the specific excercise they want, I simply couldn't do.
I can pull a calf out of the mud, but can't do a single pushup, that sort of thing.

The kidlet has his physical on Sept 11. His intake interview is the same day.
But we are informed that he won't actually go in for another 6 months, which is plently of time to get over the last op and get well - it helps that his surgeon is also in the Army and has advised him that this will not affect his ability to serve! We were worried about that!

Energy levels are still down & after having a picc line in my right arm with the tube ending up in my shoulder I'm have a hell of a time with my right arm aching & legs cramping when trying to sleep.

Crickets, all I hear are crickets, then again I guess as a bloke I'm not supposed to understand... when I go for a haircut I just say "the usual", apparently that's a hair style.

Been a while since I was here. Spent most of July not being well, only been physically fine for a couple of weeks. Work crap to deal with as well. Certainly career changing events. Next year will be really interesting.

Hope your remaining weekend is restful.

Hi there!
Good to see you back. Hope your health stuff is under control now.

Big weekend for me..... today will be spent cooking and then relaxing with my entire family as it's the birthday lunch for my eldest who's just turned 21.
He's bringing his new girlfriend who I haven't met yet, so that'll be cool.

I'm having my morning coffee, and then it will be time to start making roast lamb and all the trimmings :)
