Big weekend!
Yesterday my grand-daughter turned one, so I went to her birthday party. Ended up doing a zillion dishes while there. Fun though!
On the way home in the rain, saw rivers of water running out of the overflowing dams and through the paddocks - as well as a waterfall coming from the rainwater tank overflow! First time in 18 months I am not worried about water
Then today I took the kidlet off to get some new jeans.
Got home and caught the 're-arrange' bug.... so I have done some major cleaning and sorting.

I'm tired now, so I will cook an early dinner (chilli-mince sloppy-joes) and then relax for a while before an early bedtime.

Doesn't help that I have a stitch in my inner cheek from where I slashed it when I broke a tooth on Thursday morning!

The only downside of the day was that her boyfriend's brother beat the crap outta their boy before they got there and the poor kid sat on the sofa and didn't move all day. I am this close to reporting them for child abuse.

When I took the kidlet to buy jeans, I was horrified to find out he's a size 87!!!
He's now officially not ky 'kidlet' any more!

On brighter news, my eldest son has got himself a steady girlfriend
He was always gonna take longer as he's my deep-thinker, and wasn't interested in all the silly dating stuff.
His birthday is next - he turns 21 on the 14th

Still.... it was nice to see it at my house

One thing I have noticed since moving here that I never knew - you can 'smell' snow! It has a distinctive scent and you can tell when it's about.

Great - a couple of houses in my area have been broken into.
I have approx 250 1:18 scale model cars as well as a couple of 1:10 models and of course the real cars. Now I am going to be all freaked until these guys are caught

My nieces best mate got her bag stolen from Work (she works in Brumbys) had her purse, New iPhone, work keys, house keys and car keys all gone and then they pulled down the metal shutter door locking her inside!!!!

I've just done a quick inventory of the models and real cars... the models are just under $100,000 and the real cars are pretty close to that.
I need to ring and up the insurance tomorrow - we are definitely underinsured!

Actually, going thro the models, I've had a quick look online and they may be worth a little more.
We have the full set (signed) of Allan Moffat's collection and the full set of Dick Johnson's (also signed and including the only pair of 1:10's limited release in a private collection) plus all the Bathurst winners that have been released (again, signed).
The Moffat collection I found online.... and unsigned and incomplete that sold last year for $20,000.
Oh, and we have all of Marcus Ambrose' cars, both Aussie and NASCARS, signed.
Holy shit! I need to raise the cover BIG time!

I've pulled out the .22 and loaded it.
