Guess what? It's raining.
Again.
Seems like it's been raining non-stop for weeks, and we've not had any decent sunshine for that time.
I am actually feeling the lack of sun
Wasn't it a little while back you were worrying about it having been too dry and that there was no water?

I don't know how clear this is (Damn lit and file size limits!) but there is water sitting on the ground at the top of the hill as well as down below from the overflowing dams!
It isn't even flowing down the hill any more

You probably just have to wait it out, that happens here when the ground is too saturated and more rain comes.

Not much chance of waiting it out though.... rain forecast for the next week at least!
Basically, if I have to go anywhere, I drive slowly thro 2 feet of water and hope like hell I make it!

G'Day All
How are we all?
All set for the weekend? Anything going on?
It has been wet and miserable all this week....bring on the sun I say. I am lacking Vitamin D
We take vit D all winter. Have to - for the last couple of weeks the only time we didn't have cloud cover was that day I came in here and exulted over sun (a few pages back now!) and that was only for an hour or so!
My weekend plans are to keep copying photos and finish itemising the models for insurance.
Time- consuming stuff!

Soo bad new to start with,,, Dragonette, for the ones who remember that far back has pass away last Easter ,,, was very quick,,, but has taken me a while to pass on the news, she moved to Queensland to be closers to her daughter in 2011 , cancers got her in the end with two months of knowing she had gone, march 2013 by Apirl she had gone ,,,,, my best friend,,,, gone ,,,,, for all of those who knew her,,, just thought let you know ,,,,

I havnt posted on this thread myself now for a few years but was so saddened to here of Dragonettes passing. She was at the first get tgether I went to in Sydney and was a delight to chat with there and we did keep in touch for a long time afterwards sharing Emails and I bought a few books from her over the years but as you say life does get in the way sometimes and we lost contact.
I will alaways have fond memeories over her and now wish I had done more to stay in touch.
Thanks for letting us know Raegar, hope life is treating you well

As an intelligent Aussie woman I have to agree the moment the conversation turned to something pertaining to some sort of spherically challenged object I start to drift away.
I also grew up in mining towns and the analogy of walking into a bar with skirts up made me smile. But then I have faced down miners almost twice my size and made them back down plus I tend to wear jeans so in I jump.
Interesting in having a range of conversations about a range of things. Am also interested in how many Aussies would be on the site.
Find the assumption that America is free about sex rather interesting given the rise in straight laced religion that the country is experiencing. Also that a violent film is more acceptable than one containing sex or nudity.
