GIL IS BACK!

Been a long battle & still not over bowel cancer gone, fluid around the heart drained & gone, fluid on right lung gone but still working on all the lost muscle from being bed bound for so long & even lost my man boobs

BANDIT the love of my life has had a hard time dealing with me being so ill but now I've been home for 2 months she has me a lot better & this last week I've even been able to wear shoes again as we have got all the fluid build up in my lower legs back to where they should be. Energy levels are still down & after having a picc line in my right arm with the tube ending up in my shoulder I'm have a hell of a time with my right arm aching & legs cramping when trying to sleep.

BANDIT has done more getting me back on track than the damn hospital.

BANDIT is still a stresser as I went through a stage of falling over, she found me on the kitchen floor a few times & the loungroom floor a couple of other times but my balance is improved now although when we are walking I'm wandering all over the place.

I'm sure BANDIT is an angel sent to keep my going she was at the hospital every day & stayed till I sent her home because it was getting dark, she bought me sandwiches from home because the hospital food was crap or went down to get some thing decent to eat & my recovery only started under her care.

Most times it took the poor nurses 15 minutes to half an hour to answer the buzzer NOT because they were of slacking off but run off their feet with 4 patients in my ward room & another room at the other end of the ward.

I'm doing much better under her care at home then in hospital except the heart drain, Picc line which has my right shoulder even more stuffed than normal with pain & numbness in the hand plus the drain line in the infection in my lower belly that had to be drained, there is an album on that other site with pics.

Had my meds & heading to hit the matress now so big hugs to you Frisky lady.

I heard recently that Melbournes snow leopards have finally accepted eachother and mated, so the patter of mini-snowleopards should be coming soon A good thing, as there are only around 1,600 left in the world or something.

A home day for me. Accounts and baking, provided we don't lose power again
If we lose power, I will spend the day repotting my bonsai while they're dormant.

But tomorrow, in the worst weather, I have to go to 2 appt's, so I'll be out there in it
