Hi there, Mr Elf!!! This would have to be your season, wouldn't it? Elves abound this time of year. ;)

Nice long holiday for you. It sounds like you've earned it, though. I'll share a Taltarni Brut with you on the St Kilda pier. Imagine what you'll be thinking I've said, then! ;)

I'm sure you'll think of lots to get up to in the weeks until February. :D

I get to lie there, wallowing in my pai..... er, pleasure..... until he's ready to make it all better ;)

Hey WQ

Is there any part of your body that is not lovely to look at...lovely boob pic. Now I know summer is when the snakes come out..but I didn't know there was a boob snake or is that boob dragon?

Now did that nasty man not soothe your bottom...that was naughty... let me just get some ice and slowly touch it on your hot skin..I have warm hands so I need to cool them down first otherwise your skin will sting...once I get the ice to melt a bit....slowly apply it across your bottom making sure to place my palm on the curve of your bottom just to have a greater surface area of coolness of course. Important to point my fingers towards your thighs so I can spread the coolness more evenly and wiping away any water dripping between your cheeks so that the water droplets move over the curve of your bottom and down between your legs.

While the melting ice water is cooling your skin, I get some cream to help the healing process. Just spreading some of the cream on my fingers. Only finger tips used to slowly skim across your skin and spread the healing cream across your bottom in a circular motion on one cheek then doing the same to the other one and finally I dab a small amount of the cream on the finger tip of my middle finger and gently trace the depression between the cheeks of your bottom stopping short of the place between your legs. A kiss on the small of your back...the light is clicked off and I leave you to rest. :rose:

Hey Trisk

Yeah I don't reckon I'll be abounding anywhere...I might kick back and watch others abounding...besides we darkelves wait in the shadows till everyone is asleep them come out and change the names tags on the presents.

I intend to do bloke gardening this time around....which means new power tools...none of the hand clippers crap.

I went to Moet Chandon one time on wine tour and tried that stuff...boy that was dry..I had to get a drink of water to put moisture back in my mouth...I swear it sucked all the moisture out of my mouth. I must admit I'm not much on the sparkly stuff, prefer the harder stuff. Not much into white wines either. I prefer the reds. But yep anytime you're in Melbourne town I would be delighted to have a drink with you. We could also go to Acland St. for cake.

OMG! I've got this vision of a wee elf hefting my chainsaw!!!! Life in your backyard could be dangerous this summer. :D

The drink is on! Not sure when. Next time I'm in Melbourne, I'll be taking No1 son (15)for flying lesson at Morrabin (did I spell it right) airport for a daytrip. Can't wait to see him do it! I'm hoping it gives him incentive to work harder at school. He's very smart but very lazy too. I'll be in touch when I'm able to get down and indulge myself. :)

Did someone mention cake?

I'll be in that.... it's about time the Melbourne mob got together for a meet...and elves on holidays sounds like as good an excuse as any!

Ooops!

Good to see you, oh Windy one! :) Hope you're surviving the silly season ok.

oh yes... I avoid it at all costs....

I don't have small children or grandchildren to be concerned about so it becomes more about making sure that I am not on the road with any alcohol in the system....they are pretty hot about that round here....daytime booze buses are often out nearby and have been for the last couple of weeks!

Personally, I despise everything Christmas.... but now with a little one in the family, I will be expected to become all joyfull and shit.

I'm with you..... Bring on the alcohol and the des driver!

Give the little one a bit of time to grow and then sit back and watch and enjoy...its the only nice part - watching the wonder and the pleasure as their eyes light up. Innocent joy in simple things can even get to a crusty old black hearted thing like myself.

I don't need the des driver... I stay home and indulge!;)

I love Christmas. I love what it stands for; renewal and hope. I'm the Christmas Polyanna, organising wee gifts for the customers on Christmas Eve and supplying hats for us to wear.

I despise the way that unrealistic expectations can be placed on people, by each other and ourselves. We don't have to be perfect when we get together at Christmas, just considerate and nonjudgemental. I can hear people winding up already! Such a wasted opportunity, who knows what will happen to those we love over the next year?

Afternoon all,

and happy 12 12 12...not sure what the fuck this means but apparently it means a day to get married. Now for blokes this is ideal cause only one number needs to be remembered.

Rather warm day today and probably hotter tomorrow before some rain possibly to cool things off. Have resisted using the air con so far.

Well, been on holidays for three official days since it officially began on Monday and thus far I've spent more time running around than relaxing. On the positive side I've been getting lots of vitamin D out in the sun. Spent 4hrs at the local shopping centre buying christmas presents, walked from one end to the other and back again. Saw one smart person who brought along one of those large duffle bags on wheels. I possibly should of brought one of my suitcases on wheels. Carrying all that stuff around not good for the back. Next time I'm hiring a sherpa. I had to make two trips to the car to get all of it done. Also saw several people trying to steer overloaded shopping carts. They couldn't see over thet top. Other people just got out of their way. This year Kmart was the store with more variety. Then again I got the impression that not the full range of items is on the shelves yet. It just looks less than previous years.

Day two was spent doing family stuff driving across the city and back again several times. Rest day today then out again tomorrow for more stuff to buy....what was that thing I wanted to do...oh yes....rest and kick back...I may need to timetable that...

Hey Trisk,

I've been described as lots of things but wee never really comes to anyone's mind. No chainsaws only a brushcutter with a proper blade on it. I thought about a chainsaw then thought an axe would be good enough. I reckon if anyone sees me with a chainsaw they might call the cops.

I know where Moorabbin Airport is. I've driven past it a few times. It makes for a nice back road to avoid lots of traffic. Funny enough that airport is in Dingley not Moorabbin. I think Moorabbin was much larger years ago. Lots of market gardens around there as well. Not far from civilization either. Southland shopping centre is not far away. There is even a Christmas tree farm there. Lots of open space. It feels a bit like the country driving around there.

I'll be around so yep get in touch any time.

Hey Austral,

Yep I did mention cake and Acland St. is my favourite place for that. There are lots of other places I'm sure other people know, but the atmosphere and variety all in a small area is what makes that the place to go I reckon.

I also don't mind travelling aournd Melbourne to get good food. Took a friend to Doyles in Mordialloc near the boat harbour, she loved it. Long drive from the city centre but the food is very good.

I'd be careful how you use the word "wee"...you do know where you are right? Not sure I'd like a wee box on Christmas morn....:D

I like the idea of christmas, but HATE the commercialisation of it.
Cards for people you don't know all that well, presents for family members you despise, xmas dinner usually interrupted by arguements between siblings (both the younger and the grown ups).
And let's not forget the one or two miserly guests who sponge and never contribute or lift a finger to help on the day - and that's just the in-laws!

THAT'S what I hate :(

I'll be spending Christmas with the outlaws, again, this year. All the shopping is finished except for my daughters and that's only coz the car is out of commission for a bit. Presents outside of the immediate family are confined to $15. Have done all my shopping in town for the last 3 years. The max price makes each a bit more thoughtful. And I've made fruit mince pies for the adults this year.

My folks are north of the border. Last Christmas spent there (a few years back) the old man threw the entire Christmas lunch out the window. He's an arse. So Christmas there got cancelled ever after. We call Christmas at whatever time we get together, away from the pooty-parper. In a lot of ways it's very special. Christmas in that house is just another day. My mother rages with the nieghbours outside of the cocoon. :)

I stopped sending cards in my crisis year and never started again. I ring the closest friends and relies and email others. There are cards with pressies.

This little town makes Christmas special. We have a big fundraiser on the Fri night before Christmas with chook/ham/turkey raffles, Santa and carols. Santa rides through the streets on the Sunday before Christmas on the back of a fire truck handing out lollies to every child he can find. And there's the inevitable Christmas lights comp. we all pile into buses for a tour of the lights (even though we've been checking them out for days), the kids with pop and lollies and the adults drinking champagne and sharing chockies, and then we vote for the winners. :D

Hi there, Mr Elf!

I don't envy you all the driving. I've got out of major trips this year coz the car done got broked! Good timimg, I'd say. ;) Loaned the exes new 2nd car for the graduation treks for the Princess Cherub. The grad dinner was at Parliament house. Very nice venue! Quite grand and special for the kids.

Been down to the river with the girls to cool off a few days ago but things cooled down then. Only 22 today. Will get much hotter. Been toying with the idea off putting in solar panels but off grid. They reduced the tariff you get back, so my plan is to install batteries and run aircon/heating and water heater from it, with alternate power points for when solar is used up. Worth a better return to me. Would pay itself off much quicker. Will see.

Sorry about the 'wee' thing! It was the image of an elf that did it.... I love my chainsaw but don't use it as much since I sold my land.

Moorabin sounds just right. I certainly don't want to drive in the city, those box corners scare me to death!

And as for what you get on Christmas morn.... I'm sure Santa will be nice and it won't be wee. :D

Melbourne has the best range of food (and coffee places) in Aus, I think!

(I'm sure that someone is likely to correct me but given I have spent the last 12 years traveling and having to eat out - I've had a fair range of experience with the good, the bad and the downright awful!)

I like any opportunity not to have to cook and I have fond memories of Acland Street from back in the late 80's when I used to work down thereabouts....

You forgot the worst aspect of all - work organised secret Santa.

On a side note, hello all. Been an age since I visited and posted.

I have to agree with you, australwind. Was posted there some time ago. Lived at St Kilda on the Esplanade. The gentification had just begun. The BMWs were just moving in and the girls were still very prominent on the landscape.

Acland St was very different to what it is now. Closed run down shops in a couple of places and this older guy who had a shop on one of the corners with hessian bags of coffee beans. The best smelling shop ever!!! :D Nice guy.

When I was there in Feb it seemed that only two of the original Continental patisseries were left, but doing a roaring trade. Very yuppie now! lol :)

Hi. You were here before I found the place.

Pert will be pleased to see another Waussie, when she visits us again.

I think its worse to be invited to "thank you at Christmas time" event where everyone is recognised as being part of a team...all of whom have their names on the Certificate of Appreciation except you.

You wonder whether you really should have bothered.....

Welcome back...:)
