Not a lot happening here of late, did flaging at the bikes on Sat in the wet & when I arrived to see the good field of bikes & sidecars I got excited but then the weather set in & didn't stop, They got through the day but heavy rain wiped out the meeting part 2 on sunday, hope for better weather next time as I don't like being out in the rain.

Off to my specialist today but BANDIT has already got a run down on my blood test results & all good. I tend to stress out waiting for him to let us know the results & think he knows it because it's like getting teeth pulled as he draws it out.

BANDIT niggling back twinge has gone & she is back doing weights with a little lighter weights on the bar with more reps.

Well, two months afther breaking my leg the first break has healed but the seconed is only 75% healed. Aa the doctor is now worried that I have had my leg sticking up and stright for far to long and has asked me to take the splint off through the the day and put it back on for the night in orderto get my leg ligaments and my muscles used to being used again. So I'm now for a painful few weeks until my leg fully recovers.

As usual sending good health vibes to WQ, Orlanth, Gil and anyone who needs them.

By the way if anyone's interested I submitted a story on here and they actually posted it. I am trying to deal with my new stage in life. This is one coping mechanism.
And no I am not going off to jail or anything like that. just looking for something to do that's barely legal that I can keep all the profits and pay the government when I feel like.

I have my 6 week appt with the ortho doc tomorrow morning, post op. I know the outside tendon has been much better since my op, but I also know the tendon on the inside of my elbow is still fucked Oh well, we'll see what he says and where I go from here.
Hopefully he tells me I can drive again!

I also pick up my new glasses tomorrow... It will be nice to be able to see properly again!
I've been squinting for months.

You should come down here. Our night temps have been around minus 2, and daytime highs are getting up to a blistering 11!!!
And we're going to get snow in the next few days as it warms up!

God what a crap week... the husband's sick, the kids are sick, the boyfriend is even sick.. I swear I'm not a carrier!!!! Plus work is putrid, msn deleted my contact list, my mobile didn't bounce when it flew off the roof of the car, I burnt my hand, Telstra shaped my internet and most importantly in this fluffy rant... I have no wine and will have to take my socks off and leave the house to buy some.

Evening aussies

Well, I have had a huge day!
First up, ortho appt. This time I saw the head surgeon after having xrays and scans on my elbow. He's still reluctant to go the surgical route, so I had the same treatment as last time.... about 50 needles into the tendon and bone (THAT is an experience, let me say. Made me cry today ) The idea is to change from a chronic inflammation, which won't heal, to an acute inflammation which will.
This time I am out of action for 8 weeks, with one significant difference - I can drive again! Yayness!
And the reason I can drive? "Oops, sorry, last time we treated the wrong tendons!"
Anyway.... moving on.....

Full of painkillers and local anaesthetic (although still bleeding a little) I made my way to the optometrist to get my new glasses.
For the first time in 5 months I can see clearly
I spent the next couple of hours reading every signpost and shop window
I'd kinda got used to not being able to see, so this is wonderful!

THEN I had my gp appt this afternoon. My thumb, where I had the growth cut out 10 days ago, is slightly infected but not too bad. Worse is the result of the pathology..... It's another skin cancer. That makes 3 that I have had removed. So we took some more bloods to check for cancer markers, and we'll take it from there.

And now I am sitting here, full of more painkillers and lamenting the fact that the local is wearing off
