Well, finally!
The CSA has caught up with the fact that the bastardex is working, and now he has to pay 16 times what he was paying per month.
Yep - sixteen times!
I probably won't actually get any of that, but it would have been nice to be a fly on the wall when he opened his notification!
(And of course, if he doesn't pay... I get his tax return.)
I feel no guilt whatsoever. $20 per month is totally unacceptable as maintenance for a teen child.

Don't you just hate insomnia. I've got so much to do today and a big night ahead, but it's 4.40am and I've been awake for hours. It's going to be a lonngggg day.

As for V Day, it's not my thing and totally unnecessary. I only have to look into my special someone's eyes to see how he feels, I don't need shop bought cards and gifts. It was lovely though to see roses being delivered to some of the young girls I work with, and hear their squeals of delight. Love, romance, happiness.... makes it all worthwhile doesn't it.

OMG - a ladygird sighting!!!
Hope you are keeping well, lb... apart from the insomnia, that is.

Hiya WQ.... keeping really well thanks, apart from this friggin' insomnia.

Tis good to see you've got the child support thing sorted, it's a tough road I know.

I'm hoping to reset my entire body with a juice fast. Migraines, insomnia, all apparently can be sorted through doing this. I got the ok from my doc yesterday, so I start Monday.
We'll see how it goes.
(and of course, the weight-loss benefit is a great side effect!)

I'm pretty sure I won't actually see any of the child support $ until after tax time... but it's nice to know the bastardex got caught! I do not understand how some people can refuse to pay for the children they say they love???

How's life treating you?
I'm not sure how much you lurk, but I am now a farmer - of sorts! Loving the reclusive country life.

WQ, imagine when his wife sees it! just the thought of that should have you singing happy songs for a while. HaHaHa

LB, loverly to see you drop in here. :D

Insomnia has been a part of my life for over a decade now & have no solution to solve the problem. I did the whole sleep clinic thing only to get told "Here take these sleeping pills  all they did was make me dopier the next day (yes dopier than normal) so I tossed them.

Well I posted my thoughts on V day so you know I agree with you & with BANDIT:heart: every day is a Valentines Day for me. :D:heart:

Hoping everyone is enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon

Maitre

LAZY ???????????

only got home about 4.15pm & have had one busy day enjoying to sights & sounds of old Speedway cars running around the track in the bright Sydney sunshine  yes the sun is shining if Sydney! Yeah.

So what has made your saturday so lazy?

Welfare Question!!!
Question -
When you apply for Welfare in Pakistan , India , Iran , Iraq or other Arab countries, what does that Government give you?

Answer - A map of Australia

WQ, imagine when his wife sees it! just the thought of that should have you singing happy songs for a while. HaHaHa

She'll be livid - picture a 5'1" and equally wide woman, with long purple-dyed hair, raging at me ;)
I'm not singing happy songs though. Like I said, I probably won't see much of that money till tax time.

You know what shits me the most?
Because of his lies, that entire side of the family has completely cut off our kids. No birthday cards even!
How do people do that to kids???

The kids are far better off NOT having these narrow minded morons in their lives, no great loss even as family, cruel assholes. how can any so called grown adult be that damn stupid to take it out on the kids.

I'm sure the mental image of the EX & the replacement finding out the good news I thought would of been the best part of all this then BONUS at tax time, yes I know it's the week in week out costs to be considered but at least you'll be getting it even if it is eventually.

Now I'm off to bed as it's a bad day for pain with me. :(

I have this thing about hospitals... I get out as soon as I can, even if it means signing out AMA.
Sorry this happened to you

*CRINGE* Hospital the much needed place of horror, full of infections since the aircon era, it's full of sick people naturally it's also full of bugs.

Hospital actually pay people to come up with stupid ideas like in the dialysis unit they no longer allow people to visit patients on dialysis & a host of other waste of time, not good for the patient moral (Rasher visited me on a very early dialysis session & it lifted my spirits a lot) BUT the latest act of stupidity is the clinic area where we sit to wait for the doctor they have now placed signs over 4 chairs dedicating them for transplant patients, great idea to keep the transplant patients safe? they are less than a metre away from all the other patient there for the clinic & breathing the same air as everyone else is  WTF is this saving the transplant patients from ?

I fight every time to get out.

I detest hospitals.
When I had my snakebite just recently, I spent almost the entire time sitting outside the emergency room. And I mean outside... under the stars, drips and all.
They sent a nurse out to get me every hour for bloods, and then I went out again.

The head nurse tried to tell me I needed to stay in the bed, but I went over her head to the doctor and he eventually saw reason.
My theory - fine, keep me here, but you do so on my terms or I walk out... and then your Snakebite Protocol is down the toilet

I hate them so much, that when I had my emergency caesarian with the kidlet, I signed out AMA 5 hours after surgery and went home with him.

Hoping everyone is enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon

Maitre

Hey there, Maitre!

No lazy Sat, here. Full work day. :( And today. but day off tomorrow!!!! :nana:

Jealous of yours but happy you could have one. Especially in Melbourne. Love that place.

Hi Gil! Hi to Bandit, too. :rose:

Sorry to hear you have pain in your day, poss. Hope the mongrel nicks off!!!! Are you paying for a day at the speedway, yesterday?

Big hello to our WQ! :rose:

Good to hear the B-ex got caught out. I'm sure I heard anguished wails coming from across the strait! Even if you don't get a fortnightly amount, you may get enough at tax time to make a difference with a larger purchase. Better still, a larger purchase you can claim on your own tax return as an educational expense!!! :D

Hospitals are a mixed bag. Havin the cherubs was a doddle. Especially the last. Hotel type room with microwave, couches etc. Trips to the mall with someone else to watch him and the health fund covered it all! When i was rushed to hosp with pneumonia, it was a farce. Nurses overworked, doctors who couldn't give a straight answer. Meds mix up. Lost paperwork. I wanted to sign out. They told me I couldn't. BULL!! In the end I figured out how to fool their equipment and came home before they figured it out. Got better care from my local GP. Bless him.

Hi Triskele :)
Pain is an ever present mongrel in Gil's life, the only thing we've found to relieve it is some herbal smoke and emu oil. We tried Panadol Osteo for about a year but that seems to be upsetting his tummy now  Most over the counter and prescription pain meds do that :(

I've heard Ethical Nutrients make a herbal pain relief tablet with turmeric and something else in it (can't remember what offhand) but it's supposedly "gut friendly" and has anti inflammatory properties. I went to a chemist today but they don't stock it, so will have a bit of a look around for it tomorrow. At this point we will give anything a try!
