Will someone come to help you while Bandit is away?

Gil is going to the hospital for dialysis (it's only a short drive away) and he'll only need to do three sessions there. The staff are all lovely and I'm sure he'll be well taken care of :)

Grr to the midwife thing but had a text message this morning to say she's decided to get rid of her and go with Plunket nurses instead. Will probably mean having to take bubs to visit them at a clinic instead of a home visit but the funding for the midwife is due to run out soon anyway.

Ok I'm finally admitting it's morning and I'm awake. Love late sleepins when everyone is out and about except me. Hope everyone doesn't melt today. :D

We have the portable aircon set up and ready to cool the bedroom where Gil is on the machine. We've only had to use it once this summer but I think it will be getting used more regularly now the hotter weather has finally arrived!

I don't recomend making Sweet Chili Sauce with Birdseye chilis

I love birdseye chillis!
I often just put them on the bbq whole, grill till the skin blackens, and then dip them into a home-made ricotta dip and eat. With beer.
Yum!

Note: I am a chilli nut. Don't try this if you can't handle spice/heat!

About 6 years ago I was dared to eat a big chili (forgot the name), so I bit into the seeds... Couldn't talk for days

I grow jalapenos and habaneros.
I put chilli into just about every food I eat.
In my pantry, there are 9 different kinds of chilli sauce - the only one I don't like is sweet chilli. Too sweet and syrupy for my taste.

I love chilli, but not too hot. I wan't to taste what's there, but can't do that if my tastebuds are quarterised! :D

Have never found a better way to clear the sinuses, though..

I love the heat of the chillis, but they also need to have flavour.
A couple of years ago, I went to a chilli festival in WA. They had a new one there, about a million times hotter than anything I'd ever had.
There was a competition - if anyone could eat a whole one, they won a pallet of beer! (That's 40 cartons!)
The guys I was with pushed me to try it.
End result - I ate the chilli. But by heck I paid for it!
The guys laughed at me while happily swigging down my haul of beer - while I tried absolutely everything to stop my mouth from spouting flames every time I breathed
That was one chilli that totally killed me. NEVER AGAIN!!!

you need yogurt or milk to neutralise the acid, beer though nice won't get rid of it, I had a mate who would take chillies to parties and if you put your stubby or can down he would run the chillie around the rim I must admit it was fun to watch some of the reactions

I can not do either yoghurt or milk due to lactose intolerance.
Most times, I don't need to.
But that one chiili made me breathe fire for hours!

OOooh, those stinkers OWE you!!!!

I'm told plain ol' cucumber will soothe. I love cucumber in salad and on a sanga, but munching that much straight?? Dunno. Depends on how desperate I was I suppose.

Well I'm finally dropping in after being a bit of a stranger here of late but I'm on the mend & busy sorting BANDIT's:heart: packing, booking me into the hospital dialysis unit & thankful the silly season is over for another year.

BANDIT:heart: has been getting cluckier over the last few weeks thinking about getting over to NZ to cuddle & spoil her grandson, we were in Berry on the NSW South Coast & saw a baby outfit with I'm famous on Facebook! which we had to have seeing his pics are up there.

 cucumber, soothe, desperate all had my mind going to my naughty side BANDIT:heart: calls BoBo!

Cucumbers are an amazing thing, freshen the mouth before eating some other varied taste & for the fun things you can select different sizes for just the right fit, no batteries needed, reasonably cheap to buy & you can still wash (or not) after then serve it up for tucker.

Has anyone else gone through discovering fruit & vegies as sex toys?

If so what have you tried?

Has anyone tried ginger?

Hello Mr Gil, I hope Bandit has a wonderful trip back to cuddle that Grandbaby. I'm sure bandit will just adore having that little sweetie in her arms...they are irresitstable

I've just had the Great Nephew here for five days whilst his parents went away with my nephew's father in law. He came all the way from Russia to meet his Grandson. So I had the delight of a little "Dom" for a few days. He is 3 months old and his name is Domenic...laughs...so he really is my little Dom..... You forget how babies just absorb so much time. But it's been wonderful. I miss him already and he only went back yesterday afternoon.

In response to your question....Ginger? Figging good....sorry, couldn't resist the pun. Do be prepared for the burn though....mmmmmmmmmm ....oh and the natural impulse to sing Johnny Cash songs.... :D

Damned hot up this way, finally you mexicans have sent the rotten heat our way...take it back!!!!! please??

I was loving our summer until the day before. Cool breezes, hot out in the sun, but lovely in the house, no need to cry and throw tantrums over the heat. Think there is room in bandit's bag for me? New Zealand is looking exceedingly good at the moment.

Wishing Bandit a safe trip, and happy hours of cuddles and Grandma kisses.

You be well Mr Gil and look afer yourself.

A big hello to E/everyone else on the board....been following now and then when I drop by.

Keep cool and be loved.

Yay! Master Gil is back!! :nana:

Glad to hear you're on the mend. You've been silent for quite a while.:)

I hope Bandit has a comfy flight over the ditch and it doesn't seem to take to long!! ;) How wonderful to get to know your new grandson. The wee tshirt is a hoot.

What a versatile little vege cucumber is. Still like it on sangers. :D

Gil, are you trying to corrupt me?? I've led such a sheltered life!! lol

Lovely to see you here Ms Moon.

Will you come to the meet in May?

Sounds like you had a cuddly time with your little Dom. I love babies. I get visits from the newbies in town so always have my fix. :)

Take care of you, sweetie. :rose::kiss:

Morning aussies :)

Gotta love long, slow morning wakeup nookie
Unfortunately, it often leaves me feeling less than enthusiastic about having to get out of bed!

It's windy as hell here today. And we are expecting rain later (an excuse to get back under the covers, perhaps?)

Gil - I have done neither the cucumber thing, nor the figging thing. And here I thought I was up there with the worst, lol :D

Ms Moon - I'd love to take back the heat for you! After a few trully 'summer' days, we are back in the high teens for temp... jumpers and pants again, sadly.

Trisk - always lovely to see you in here :rose:

:devil:Oh My GOD I'm on the loose for 7 days of mischief

Well GRANNY BANDIT:heart: is through the gate ready to fly to NZ to spoil her grandson.

Can't believe the costs of the airport parking & costs of everything is an absolute rip off $21 for an hour!

LOL! Sydney will take a year to recover. ;)

Anything at the airport is a rip off! Food is crap and costs a bomb. They charge what they like coz they have a captive clientelle. Bah!

Bandit's probably in the middle of a hugfest right now. :D:D:D

Got a message that BANDIT:heart: arrived OK in Aukland then had the wait for her connecting flight for a couple of hours & is now at her sons place which is good because she hasn't seen him since we married in December 06.
