Hi! All done and dusted, let the kids put up the tree and decorate it however they wanted 100% percent free of adult involvement. The kitten has since now trashed the tree and I'm vacuuming up bits of tinsel from all over the house. :D

Everything else is set - the cooking and wrapping are complete, even got my own new toys in time for Christmas.

How's yours going?

Hey everyone

Gosh, lots happening here since my last visit..

Bandit - congrats on grandmotherhood, the best years of you'd life are ahead of you now :)

Breathe - great to see you again! I'm sorry to hearvof your split with picacho, I hope you're ok.

WQ - none of my business, but please don't force your daughter to do anything she doesn't want too. Support and guide her in her decisions, or she may spend the restnof her life regretting what you made her do.... and hating you.

Finally.....

Merry Christmas everyone..... Have a wonderful time with the important people in your life xxxxxxxxxx

Hey forum!

Just signed up in Adelaide! Looking forward to becoming an active part of the literotica community instead of a passive user!

I would just like to point out that I am not trying to FORCE my daughter to do anything - other than THINK about ALL the ramifications of whichever decision she makes.

It isn't my decision, in the end.

But if I know she has thought through all the scenarios, instead of being all cute about tiny shoes (which was as far as she was prepared to think about it!), then I will be much happier with her choices.

Having a baby is about much much more than cute outfits!

The mayhem of Christmas!!! Love it, but not the cleaning up after it!

I always leave some wrapping for Christmas Eve. I've always done it. Just a few things. It makes me feel all Christmasy and warm. They're sitting next to the TV here waiting for tonight.

I'm finally on the coast!!! :nana: My poor ol lungs are feeling better already. it's going to be hot but breezy today. Feeling the salt on my skin is delish. :)

I'm finishing up a gingerbread house today for the Chrissy table and then that's it! I don't have much to do coz the out-laws are organising it.

Going fishing tonight. It doesn't really matter if i catch anything or not. It's just the peacefulness of it. :)

I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas, Kisses! :rose: Christmas hugs to you all, even Destructo the cat. :D:D

WQ, I think we all know how concerned you are for your daughter. Any parent would want our kids to take a considered approach to any major life decision, ESPECIALLY this one.

Don't fret about judgement from us, just vent. You need to do it. If you can throw it up here, you may be calmer when you speak to your daughter. :)

I hope you have a special Christmas, and can leave the worries behind just for one day of family time, before tough decisions need to be made.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! :rose::kiss:

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!

I hope that your Merrys are many, your Happys are abundant and that you and your families have a special loving day without pain or conflict.:heart::kiss:

My daughter's pregnancy was unplanned also. But she is 23 not 16. I can't count the number of phone calls and text messages we went through deciding what to do. She was in shock for a few days until the news sunk in but she wasn't ever going to get rid of it or adopt it out, even though I presented those as options. She (like me when I had my kids) hasn't had much to do with babies but she's learning very quickly!

Her partner seems to have stepped up to the plate and is supporting them both so far. His family life has been non existent - he's been through the foster system, has been abused both physically and sexually and really has no idea how a normal family works. I will meet him for the first time when I go over next month for a week's visit.

Just popped by to wish everyone the best of whatever for whenever.....(insert your own appropriate words and/or phrases)

Make it fun.

Make it safe.

Make it back here in one piece after all the food and the drink and the frivolity.

I just hope that ground stops heaving in Christchurch and the cyclone gives Darwin and the coast a miss and that all the people I know that are out there driving don't come across the eejit that thought he could drive pissed.

Take care everyone!

Evening all, I hope you all have a happy Christmas and safe festive season.

A Christmas fable:

It was the night before Christmas
Where all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse...why
Cause I poisoned the noisy little fucker

A mother's widsom:

Whilst being part of the throng searching for presents, I came upon a mother and teenage son also looking for presents. The son clearly bored and wanting to leave said: "Does Santa give money?", his mother wise to the comment said: "Sorry dear Santa can't afford another credit card."

Life 1:

Men like power tools

Women like men who know how to use power tools,
however sometimes they get guys who are just tools.

Life 2:

The way to a Man's heart is through his cock

The way to a Woman's heart is through his wallet...what's yours is mine.

Life 3:

Love is endless....with a pre-nup

If marriage is a contract, then no wonder we need lawyers.

Happy Christmas, Aussies :)

Hope you're all having a great day!
My day has been awesome - pressie thread on the gb with pix.

Breakfast - thick-sliced fried ham with bbq'd tomato, zuchinni and capsicum.

Lunch - beer and maple glazed ham with green bean and cherry tomato balsamic salad, stuffed potatoed, dry fried mushrooms and parsnip and sweet potato crispy baked chips.
Followed by - 5 cheese and fruit platter.
Followed by - brandy soaked xmas cake with custard cream and hot spiced cherries.

I've been cooking since 7am!
Now that it's all over, I'm relaxing with a bourbon... and later there's my homemade baileys waiting

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful day with your family and friends.

Ok it's hot and I've tripped on one too many baubles on the floor. I'm officially over it already and have pulled the plug. Family is gone, presents are in rooms, food is all eaten and everything Christmas is now back in boxes for another year. Usually I enjoy setting it up but really love how clean the house is once it's all pulled down.

Now to have a wine and relax in my own space again... :)

*Tiptoes through the thread very, very quietly*

Wouldn't want to wake any of the sleeping aussies....... :)

blah...double post....stupid bloody system.. here I was trying to be quiet and I repeat myself.....
