We only get the reports from her family when it's a fairly large shake & the news media here haven't even mentioned it but every to bit celebrity gets air time. WTF

The coverage of Bathurst sucked big time for us it was more an ad marathon than a race.

Our coverage was quite good - not as many ads as last year, I think.
Long stretches of the exciting stuff, uninterupted.

I haven't heard a thing about the quakes. But that doesn't really surprise me.
You should be able to get NZ tv streamed on the computer. Have you tried that?

BANDIT:heart: is the net expert & her family normally call when they have a decent shake just in case she hears of it but nothing from them, She does checkout the NZ news outlets on the net.

Back to the gardening

W.Q. do you use companion planting where you can plant flowers & other plants with your vegies to keep the bugs away?

I do plant marigolds and basil, plus chilli and paprika.
Not enormously successfull though. Most of my problems come from slugs and snails.
I use diatamaceous earth and crushed eggshells to control them.

use a dish of beer, it attracts slugs and snails......:D

Some bloke just knocked on my door asking me to donate clothes to starving Africans. I told him to GET F%&@$D! Any African who fits my clothes isn't starving.

On a totally different subject I was sent this & though it was the funniest thing I've ever seen, poor old Mr NASCAR shit himself.

I watched this yesterday morning - then I posted it on the GB for the yanks to see.
:D
Of course, they're making excuses like 'he wasn't that good a driver anyway, etc, etc, etc'
I absolutely pissed myself watching it!
Didn't have the heart to tell them we routinely take the Big Girl out and have her up around the 250km/hour mark on normal roads!

Have you thought of taking on Targa Tassy?

That was most definitely in mind with the recent purchase of the Chrysler! :D
We wouldn't take the XF, mainly because there's been so much work put into her! She's currently insured for $60K - I would be inconsolable if we bent her!:(

Sounds suss. That sort of thing is usually done through collection centres. He wasn't checking out your place, was he????

I did that last year - didn't work.
I got 3 snails in 3 weeks, and just walking around I get on average 250/day!

Got home late a little while ago and the cats dry food (on porch) was COVERED with snails and slugs. YECH! :(:(
Swept them all up into bag and into the bin. Not many around now. Will do it again, soon. (On purpose this time)

LMAO

How the hell did Jason bright keep his concentration with that babble going on?????:eek:

Lucky for Jason, Darrell was on a different audio feed although I think it might have had Jason going harder if he knew what was being said.

Surround the cat food dish with salt as slugs & snails stay away plus salt fills them.

I think they were just trying to gross me out!!
