Seriously, look into Comodo Antivirus - it's free, and it's far superior to AVG.

aaahhh - but I've had no power for a few hours, and I can still do my emails and banking on my 3G enabled tablet :D
Sadly, I'm sitting here without running water though! The perils of pump/tank water :rolleyes:

A Mac was great for graphics and publishing at work years ago but not needed other than that. I'm thinking of a tablet next year because I read so much and e-books look convenient.

I will. Needed to ditch antivirus that was on there quickly so have a different trial version atm until I decide for sure. Thanks. :)

I'm seriously thinking of selling the cottage and roughing it on some acerage. The downside would be pumping water and being back on a generator. Being on tank during the drought was a bummer!

I love my tablet - I got the Samsung Galaxy. The new one comes out soon, and I will be getting that, sticking with Samsung due to the size (small enough to easily fit into my handbag, unlike the iPad) and Samsung has the best battery life. Plus it switches between wifi and 3G which is handy for when I'm out and about or the power goes off.

Comodo antivirus catches everything. I have tried almost all the different antivirus programs, both free versions and paid, and I think this one kicks ass.

I live in the second-driest state in Australia, and I have not yet run out of water. Mind you, I have a 50,000 litre tank!
Plus I also have a 6kg front loader washing machine that uses 40l/load. Go Asko! Gotta love the European's quality and workmanship.

Katelyn, Sometimes the thread moves fast & other times it is slow so just keep comming back to drop in here.

Subscription to a thread is via "thread tools" top right of posts page on the right side, click on that & your see subscribe.
