I usually do that!!!! What can I say? I was distracted.....thinking about an interesting someone ......

I NEVER pick up a call that withholds the number. Friends with a hidden number text. And I avoid work calls like the plague. One moment of weekness........

Learned my lesson!

Isn't it amazing how you can be careful which calls you answer & then the one you don't is one you really wish you had of not answered.

I've got a good collection of Speedway cars, books etc.

2 of the models are the 1:10th scale models of the jim beam racing cars.
I think we are the only private collectors in the world who have both.
Just those two are valued around $8,000.
And then there's the 1:18 scale collections - all of the moffatt set, all of the dick johnson set, and all of the bathurst winners right from the beginning.
Most of the cars are signed by the drivers.
All together, there's nearly 200 cars.
Shannons are pretty much the only people who will insure a collection like this. But I am shopping around to see if someone else will - shannons are pretty exe.

MzMoon, I hope your on a better side of things now & you know you have friends here you can contact if you need a natter to help. :rose:

Well I've been a busy little cherub over the last few days with helping out the speedway karts for their AKA Aussie Title over both days of the weekend & 10 hours dialysis yesterday. Lots of sun, watching friends racing, helping organise different things & enjoyed being appriciated for helping out.

Hello Mr Gil

Thank you for your kind thoughts as well. I am in a better space now, so positivity shall return slowly but surely. Of course that wicked Elf leads my thoughts astray to ones of much more delectably deviant and devillish ones. Smiles.

Wow, you have been a very busy cherub, I imagine Bandit must be needing a seat just watching you zoom around.

Now I read somewhere that you would be flashing in May? Well if it is going to be that sort of a get together I may have to have my hands ready to shelter my poor innocent eyes..

Enjoy the warming days.

So glad things are looking up & I hope that wicked Elf keeps you heading in the right direction.

BANDIT:heart: had a weekend of peace & quiet as she stayed home & seeing we are together 24/7 most times I'm sure she needed it.

I was taking everything in you post as genuine till I got to "poor innocent eyes" bit.

Cold weather has returned here but I'm not much into caring as at the moment my name is faceache after my dental visit today, I needed 4 lots of local onto the gums to soften the pain of the removal, that has worn off & I'm in real pain, face swollen & not a happy camper although Orlanth is also in a world of hurt too.

Maybe if I was into road racing I'd be the same as you but I'm a dirty boy who loves the speedway.

Should I be jealous ?

Now, Orlanth,

You know there is always a special thought for you! :rose:

How are you doing? Hope the pain has settled for you. What plans do you have to get round the boredom??

Maybe you can research companion planting some more? Something you can apply when you're up and about again? :)

Yep! Some calls you have to reply to, though, because you know it will only get worse if you don't. Got one of them, yesterday, too! Bugga!

Spent all day on the phone and internet today trying to organise stuff for the folks and coercing others to leg it for me in 3 cities I'm not in. Got most of it done and I'm now into my second glass of a VERY nice red that is getting nicer by the mouthful. :D :D :D

Sort of wished I was at work today....

Hope your pain meds have kicked in by now, Gil. Isn't it interesting just how many people are suffering from teeth problems atm???!!

Did you help out with the junior carts, as well, on the w/e? I've got these pictures in my head of these minature speed demons. lol

You're very lucky to have such a close relationship with Bandit. You're right, though, a little time apart is good to keep a sense of self. Makes seeing each other again special too.

Been thinking of you Ms Moon and wishing you happiness. :rose:

I would imagine that Mr Elf would be an inspiring antidote! :D

Not on pain killers as they send my INR through the roof & it is still having a little bleed so I'm putting up with it for now.

Normally they have Midgets the starting division from age 6 then onto Rookies then juniors so all ages are covered. there is some fantastic racing with the kids, it's only the adults that get into the biff & barge.

Do you have Kart parents that get too competitive for their kids? Like footy parents on the sidelines?

Goodnight, Gil :rose:

Hope you get a good night's sleep and the jaw settles down.

Oh yes those sideline parents. had one tell his dad he was embarrassing & didn't want to race anymore.

Oh, Gil, how sad for the enjoyment to be destroyed by a thoughtless parent. :(

Hopefully the parent will hear the wake-up call?????

I even had to pull up a life long mate who was going off & his son is in his early 20s.
He has always had a short fuse but settled down once I dragged him aside.

The right side of my face is still swollen & sore but better than last night, baby food & mashed spuds for dinner.

Well at the moment I do kinda have an idea about using the video feature on the iPad to make a video from my careers tending to my garden

Good idea, Orlanth! At least you'll be able to tell if they are stuffing up your garden!! lol

I can't imagine how frustrating this next month will be for you. It's going to take your imagination to keep yourself occupied and sane. :D

Isn't your new bed due, soon? A comfy one?

How are you doing after your stupid taxi driver event of the other day?

You are a good friend, Gil. Hopefully he'll think twice next time.

I love baby apples. :D with custard &/or icecream.
