it's going okay - was really hot last week, but is more bearable so far this one. am actually considering what to have for dinner, and whether i want to waste money on take outs or hmm, have toast as the other option - forgot to take any meat out of the freezer last night lol.

Hi all, a quick post from Surfers Paradise, where it has been wet, sunny and windy all in the one day
We've had a good time, spent some money enjoyed staying on the 12th floor in the apartment building (great view from our room!) but will also be glad to get back to familiar surroundings - we fly in to Sydney tomorrow night

i ended up having chicken soup - one of the can varieties...

mmmm chicken soup is pretty good tooo ... my daughter had that as she just got her tongue pierced and cant eat too well at the moment .. lol

Thanks KB and starry... Remberance Day is very special to me.

I was in Normanby on the 60th anniversary of the D Day Landings, and will never forget seeing all of those cemeteries with thousands of white crosses, and the red poppies that grew along the road. Nor will I forget all of the men and women who travelled from around the world in remberance of their comrades.

Yesterday I wore a red poppy for them, and all of the allied forces.

see more here about Vets than I've seen or heard allday here. Servred 20 years but not for the recognition but as I felt I gave something to the world, at least not a third WW !

I ran around the corner here to the local VA for services and then came back to finish up a few details on a huge project. I am setting up a Chapel run Community Center to be adopted so the supplies sent can be shared with anyone who needs them.

I may be gimpy but I can still organize stuff!
