Yes in all seriousness I have a friend who has just got the fantastic news that they will operate on her throat in 4 weeks - possible tracheatomy to boot. And she gave up smoking about 10 years ago Just not fair sometimes.....

Mum gave up smoking cold turkey in 1988 and hasn't smoked since . . . still got the ole cancerous lump in the bronchial tubes . . . and a lymph system full of cancer that prevents proper drainage of the lungs . . . not pretty . . .

My lungs probably aren't too flash from all the passive smoking I've had to put up with. My old man smokes at least a pack a day, basically.

Just got home from the hospital where i was visiting my new niece "Emma May". She was born on Sat at lunchtime and weighs in at a healthy 7lbs with a full head of black hair and all. And just to make all the women here a little envious (is that the right word?) she only took 1 hour to arrive into the big bad world.

An hour... very lucky indead, I thought my 2 hours was quick
