So there isn't a female equivalent insecurity for them to play on then - larger boobs, smaller bum etc. etc. Or maybe the girlies are just too sensible to even think for a second of being taken b***s!

If there is a female version, it's not sent to me. Guess my nic isn't feminine enough for them to realise I'm a girl!

Sorry about my previous typo - it should have read .. 'being taken in by this b***s!'

I'll get thinking. I'm not particularly into 'fantasy art'. I've got a digital cam but would have to think about my best angle!

Digital is great, so easy to edit a pic and show just what you want, the way you want.

I'd be lost without mine, although I use my webcam for most of my avatars, it's much easier although the quality isn't the same.

I'll bear the advice in mind!

Night Ladybird! Hopefully I'll get to dream soon - I've I can get this damn report up to 90% complete (leaving 10% for tomorrow morning).

morning aussies

well, as if we don't have quite enough to worry about, now we have CSA (child support agency) letters flying back and forth from one end of the country to another
seems a little unfair when you think about it - horus has lost out financially big-time during the last 8 months or so (to the tune of some $100K).... and yet the demands for more are still there.

i've also lost out financially after ending my relationship - because either i'm an incredibly good person or i'm the world's biggest sucker after leaving with nothing (left him with the car, furniture, everything!)

still - there are options we can explore..... and so the game continues

actually, i'm feeling all confrontational and icky (THAT time of the month), so i say 'bring it on!!!'

our little house is now feeling more like a home - the teens were racing through yesterday afternoon, having a great time.
it's good that they are making the effort to get on with eachother - although horus got over the noise aspect and disappeared outside to find some peace and quiet! lol
the noise of kids playing doesn't bother me - i love it when they're squealing and laughing..... it's kinda what it's all about methinks :D

just have to go get the rest of my boy's stuff from the old house today..... and maybe sort out a place for him to put it! darn this having-no-furniture thing!

Oh child support, that's another fun thing isn't it

A year after I left him my ex decided to apply for child support from me for our daughter. He'd heard I had a job. Well it was only work experience and I was still on the dole so it ended up being the absolute minimum payable (about $57 a month). He was ropable but I calmly(!) told him that I wasn't paying any more and he'd have to like it or lump it.

I still have to pay child support for her until she turns 19 or leaves home/gets a job/gets a student allowance. I had actually overpaid that first year and so I haven't been paying anything to the tax department but I've been putting money in her bank account instead.

Good luck with the red tape WQ & Horus you will most likely need it :rose:

Hi WQ . . . the notorious CSA

Remember that paying child support gives you rightsd of access to your supported child. So ask for what access you want, expect to get it and be prepared to enforce it.

Don't forget to mention the very favourable settlement conditions that you conceded. Expect them to be taken into consideration. Sadly, child support is frequently used by an aggrieved party to 'payback' the non-resident party. :)

Make decisions AFTER 'this time of month' . . . they will probably be more rational . . . :)

Child Support

There are of course, two sides of the coin.

When my daughter left her husband, who had physically and mentally abused her, he refused to pay child support. Even though it was for the good of their son, for his upkeep, his ego took hold (how dare she leave him etc) and he wouldn't open his wallet.

For months my daughter battled to make ends meet without any help from him. To say it was hard is an understatement. She ended up having to take it to the child support agency and they now take his payment from his salary. But this man is still bitter, so takes 'cash' jobs which means his full wage is hidden. My daughter gets the princely sum of $30pw to feed and clothe her 3yr old.

I believe that it's the responsibilty of both parents to care for their children to the best of their ability, both physicially and emotionally. Financial loss when a relationship breaks down is usual, but not the fault of the child.. so why should they suffer?

It's because of parents that shirk that responsibilty that the CSA exists.

As I said, always two sides of the coin and a touchy one for me.
