morning all

Great things happening - this morning was my son's 1st birthday.

I'm not allowed to wake him up because apparently I upset his patterns - so I don't go in until mother has woken him up.

But she handed him to me - and he looked up at me with puffy sleepy eyes, he put his arm around my neck and pulled me in close for a hug.

It makes all things on my mind at the moment seem so unimportant.

Had the "BIG" interview last night - idea was to go out for a meal with the directors of the co. unfortunately, they cancelled last minute - deciding on the other candidate (there have been a few previous interviews where we were neck and neck)

Oh well.

Another day another job application!

And my greatest contribution to the project here - naming the phases after Norse gods - has been removed from the published doc!

Swimming and toilet inspirations

Seems like a few of us are keeping fit in the pool.

My last one on wedensday was great.

Tomorrow morning I'll be off to the ocean with wetty and fins - so if anyone is interested at looking at a gorgeous hunk in the water down Black Rock way, if I see any while I'm down there I'll let you know!

* At school I dreamed one day of being important
* When I started working I looked around at everybody who was important and knew I could be more important than them
* Then I had a private office at the head of a company, I thought I was important
* Then I lost my job and had to take any role to feed and house my family - that WAS important.
* and this morning, my son looked at me and needed me, and i KNOW I AM IMPORTANT

women troubles

I've got at least 4-5 years before I need to worry about him and woman troubles (if he's anything like his old man!)

corporate world is a fickle thing - opportunities come and go - 2 years ago, everyone was begging and I was naming my price, now most candidates are begging and companies are naming the price, 12 months from now they'l' be "begging" again and I'll be accepting the best offer with a jaded non-interest.

I didn't remember the scifi comics were out of DC - otherwise I would have included them too.

I see a good cartoon occasionally about the Spawn. That seems very sinister - very sensual. my kind of thing

hmmm if you know your comics, i think i could make your head spin (after doing some checking through the 10 or so boxes *lol*)

God knows how many 1st issues.

After Todd MacFarlane left marvel (and Spiderman, of which i have issues 1 - 24 *lol*) i must admitt i never followed him.

What i read of Spawn didn't really impress me much either for that matter.

If we talk TV cartoon, then i have to say the Warner Brothers Batman..... talk about dark!

It is very well done.
