Yes.... and I'd have someone nice and warm to snuggle up too as well..

See, I'm only thinking theraputically... :p

I don't want you to get the wrong idea about me, and think that perhaps I want my wicked way with your body.... <pant pant lust> *wink*

Thanks all for the greeting, and no I'm not in the Barossa. In Adelaide itself but love my wine, and infact McLaren Vale seems to have the goods at the moment. Love Margaret River but Swann Valley? Was just over in Perth too had a great time, went to Freo for a day after the business was done and found a pub called the Norfolk. Jazz in the courtyard, good food and wine....what more do you want.....;)

LB thank you for that special hug and kiss.

Im biased but i do believe South Australia has many beautiful spots.

LTGR might like to know about Ross Roses near Mclaren Vale . they are good quality roses.

The Adelaide Hills and especially Hahndorf are also good spots.

well i have been spoilt and am totally in love with Donnelly River and Happs wineries in Perth.

They ain't cheap, but they are worth it.

another little but good one is nice and close to home.... Port Stephens Winery was surprisingly good.

LB, maybe your bug and my bug could get together and then they would leave BOTH of us alone. :)

Yes Scumbag.. Freo has a great 'feel' and lots of really good pubs..

Personally I think many of the Swan Valley wines are as good as those from down south.. but a lot less expensive..

QD... I love Happs too. Have you tried their Fuschia? It goes down like cordial. It's only after a bottle or two that you realise its not!!

I have a friend selling 5 acre lots in Mt Barker for just $30,000... it's so tempting to buy a block from him, put an A Frame on it, and opt out altogether.

Henry you're welcome to my hug and kiss, after all you have given me.

p.s i rather liked Keating btw.... certainly better than the little twerp we have now.

Keating looked the part of a national leader and had the intelligence to match.

well in my oppinion anyway.

Duckie... does this bring back nice memories to you?

http://www.happs.com.au/media/Fuchsia01.gif

The grapes used are predominantly, but not exclusively Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz.

Colour: Pale pink with purple tinges maturing to a light onion skin colour with age.

Bouquet: The wine has a voluminous aroma that intensifies over the first two years. It owes its character to classic red grape varieties grown in a favourable environment.

Palate: A quite delicious balance between berry flavours, soft acidity, some sweetness and the inevitable slight astringency that is to be expected from red grape varieties. The slight effervescence cleanses the palate and lifts the aromas.

Life of the wine: Rose styles are usually consumed early. Observation over many years confirms that Fuchsia has the capacity to develop in the bottle and retains its pleasant flavours for seven or more years.
Current release: FUCHSIA 2000
Generously aromatic, light pink and spritzig. Full flavoured, soft, vibrant, fruity, and very, very popular. Made from some of the 19 red varieties we grow. Balances a small amount of sweetness against the tannins that are part and parcel of red grapes.

the 98 was the case i had *hick*

was all very good.

there is also one further north of margaret river who's name i cannot remember but i am sure it was just out of Bunbury... that was not bad either.

ooooo and off wines for a minute.... The Bootleg Brewery was purdy good too..... especially when we had 30 minutes to taste 12 different types of beer, including one they called "Raging Bull" with something stupid like 15% alcohol

i lost my "designated driver" status after that *lol*

I don't drink red wine but that does sound nice might have to try to find some LB

Cherry, its not actually a red.... its a pink *lol*

Half and half as it were.

I have only seen it in one place in sydney, and that was the Wine shop at Summer Hill.

A bit of a trip for ya though.

Unfortunatley not many wines make it to NSW from WA though.

Hey Duck, Herc. I'm out and about now, thought I'd socialize a little. What's the 36ers? Is football season in swing there yet? Who's your favorites? They got some cool uniforms? I'm wearing a Florence (Italy) jersey right now.

the 36ers are Adelaide's basketball team in the national league.

its a shame but the league is really struggling to get the crowds and could actually be in danger of dying all together.

www.nbl.com.au is the website if you are interested at all :)

Luc Longely is our most famous export, but i will never understand why *lol*

People like Shane Heal (you might remember him going toe to toe and nose to nose with Charles Barkley at the Atlanta Olympics) and Andrew Gaze have both had runs in the NBA, but never been more than bench warmers.

The Rugby Union season has been in full swing with the super 12's for a couple of months now.... the international (tri searies between NZ, AUS and South Africa) games will not start till June (I think)

www.rugbyheaven.com for that one :)

Rugby League is into week 4 and the AFL will have their second week this week.

www.nrl.com.au and www.afl.com.au

Our cricketers are currently kicking South African butt all over the park in preparation for the World Cup.

www.baggygreen.com.au

*chuckle* i am a whole wealth of information today :)

Wow i just realised that i nearly need an av, 100 posts right? Anybody help me find one or have any advice about getting one?

QD what do you mean struggling for crowds, Adelaide are doing fine but I agree something needs to be done, let me run the league for a week, I'll fix it, the package is there just needs some help.
Did you ever hear about Shane Heal and Gary Payton having words one night, The Whinger went out and said GP was over rated well the results were not pretty....

Quiet day, but spent a lot of time with Yummy tonight and that's almost always good. Sure got chilly here though. How bout you, ya have a good day?

Saw a lot of people post on our "Southern Things Y'all ought to be Knowin" thread which is kind of a hoot. It's a fun thread.

Duck, as always, you're a wealth of information. It must come from being able to fly all over the place. Lol
