QD what do you mean struggling for crowds, Adelaide are doing fine but I agree something needs to be done, let me run the league for a week, I'll fix it, the package is there just needs some help.
Did you ever hear about Shane Heal and Gary Payton having words one night, The Whinger went out and said GP was over rated well the results were not pretty....

Heya Herc, just going by what i have seen.

The games for the Queens i went to this year, i could basically shake everyone's hand in the time it took to play the game.

I know Perth are having crowd problems as are the Wild Pigs.

Canberra and Illawarra as well.

I think the loss of basically all free to air TV hurt them badly as well.

LTGR, cable TV is having alot of trouble getting established here and not a huge proportion of the population has it... hence sports that are only on pay TV, tend to suffer a bit.

Herc, i thought it was Vince Carter who Heal had a go at... in the two trial games before the 2000 Olympics?

Either way, the guy has a big mouth and while it usually gets him into trouble, I don;t think i have seen him back down from a confrontation.

A lady walks into a shop that sells VERY expensive Persian rugs.

She browses around, then spots the perfect rug and walks over to inspect it.

As she bends to feel the texture of the rug, she farts loudly.

Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now.

As she turns back, there, standing next to her is a salesman. "Good day, madam. How may we help you today?"

Very uncomfortably she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely rug?"

He answers, "Madam, if you farted just touching it, you are going to shit yourself when you hear the price!"

Heal and GP met up when heal was with the Timberwolves, GP absolutley schooled him, Ha ha ha!
Mind you GP went through the same thing as a rookie when MJ went nuts one night, gp was saying he could gurad him and he was so good etc But he learnt!!

i know i am talking about basketball a lot but it looks like Michael Jordan is done for good now. He had given up on this season due to knee probs and is now 39 so he is probably done unfortuantely, ould have given anything to see him play, absolutely the greatest ever.

23 for ever!

Cherry, you going to try some of that wine? Aussies grow some of the best wines in the world, it would be wonderful to have a winetasting there and try a bunch of them.

In one place I lived, we had this neat little restaurant at the point of an Bay with a great view. Once a month on a Monday, they'd close early and have a wine tasting. It was an elegant little French restaurant and when we'd open the windows we could hear the waves on the shore and smell the salt air. They'd invite experts in and they'd walk us through tasting different varieties and years of wine. It was quite fun. I learned a lot. I highly recommend it even if you haven't liked wine up to now.

He's playing here. I haven't been to see him though. The basketball place is about 16 KM from here. Or do you guys use miles?

ahh i did not know about that one.

must admitt i have never been a jordan fan... yeah he was good, but he never did anything for me.

I saw the US play at the olympics in 2000 and to be honest, they didn;t impress me greatly either (i saw the game they nearly lost to france).

I am a Dallas Mavericks fan.... I saw Steve Nash playing for Canada and he impressed me.

After the game, he walked up into the stand to where there was a group of about 20 very vocal canadians and sat with them for a few minutes, signing whatever they wanted... that really impressed me (not to mention, it was 2 rows infront of where I was sitting lol).

nope kms

he has had to sit the rest of the season out with an injury so as herc says, he might not be back at all.

but with him... ya never know :)

He said he's coming back next year. If you guys or girls want to come visit and see him play, be my guest. I've got plenty of room.

I'm going to try it I don't drink alot of wine and very rarely red or rose wines. Does sound like fun to have a wine tasting online we could recommend something from each of the areas we live in maybe .

I could just about see myself sitting in that restaurant sounds beautiful and fond memories for you.

LTGR
In Australia we use kilometers, we are metricated, is that even a word?

QD
I am a huge Jordan fan, the guy was unbelievable just so intense and so damn good, he has done things on a basketball court that defy description.
The 2000 Olympic team (US) was not as good as the prev ones, too many egos and no role players.
Dallas are a very good team this year lots of international players, have you heard of their owner Mark Cuban, the guy is loaded and gets up t some outrageous stuff, he has been fined so many times by the NBA it is not funny but he doesn't care.
Like the story about Steve Nash though good to see they are not all full of it.

You'll have to send me some, we can't buy too many Australian wines here.... a few... but not many...

We'll have to find an expert too. Any volunteers? Do you know any?

Thanks for the link Henry, checking it out now, sorry it took a while got caught up with talking basketball.

Where abouts are you LTGR if you dont mind me asking?

No problems Hercules

In Adelaide we have a Wine Centre where ppl can taste a wide range of wines.

not being a drinker of wines or alcohol for that fact i havent visited there yet but wouldnt mind doing so.

Virginia, just outside of Washington DC, (but I keep a suite at the Literotica Bar which is in Australia and establishes my residency here so I can post on this thread..lol).
