About three yrs ago hubby and I went to visit his family in England. I was really looking forward to a beer in an english pub. So on our first day there we walked into a very old looking pub, to find it decorated with Fosters ashtray, coasters, advertising sighs etc etc etc. What a huge disappointment! Foster on tap too! Incredible.

So, what's everyone up to today? I've got to clean this house.. it's not looking good.

I wear specs, but don't bother at home. Last night I put them on and noticed the dust for the first time... eek! I thought about just taking them off and pretending that I didn't see it, but then thought better of it!.. So it's Mr Sheen and the vacuum cleaner for me today.

Hey Ozsteamer I can't get past relating wetsuits to days spent hanging around surf clubs. Have to admit the sights weren't to bad on the eyes but my problem is the smell if the don't get dried proberly, but I will read your story too.

I love to cook for friends so on good food and wine...I'm bone lazy for just myself..usually a grilled cheese sandwich or a salad...lol

Last night I did garlic prawns with Mcguigans Bin 7000 chardonnay

Italian vegetable ragout and spicy meatballs with Bin 2000 shiraz

and then Marinated berries and Tiramisu with a late harvest Verdelho

He loved it...I don't eat meat so I took his word that the meatballs were good...

Just a last mention on the beer. Swan is a good as any Aussie beer there is and Fosters is much nicer when brewed by Courage in the UK - even I drank it (for a while).
