Been some time since I dropped in here BANDIT:heart: has had a couple of stressful days with an infected toe plus me chucking a major wobbly but things are back on track now.

Wife by text to husband at work; "Windows at home frozen - what should I do?"

Husband - "spray some de-icer or pour hot water on them"

Wife a few minutes later - "Done that - now computer won't work at all"!

Where is the cup of tea Koala!

Muahaha, love that joke. Glad to see you again Gil.

In fact, I think I'm the one just dropping back in.

Always loverly to see you here too. :D

I do enjoy a nice cuppa although enjoy a real coffee at times too although tea is my main drink.

How are things in the DromantEvil Kingdom?

Holy Cow!!! Is it windy today, or what!????:eek::eek:

I hope you're bunkered down outta the wind in Syd, Gil and Bandit, and Gil is recovering nicely. :rose:

Its the people in Adelaide eating beans, they must be part french.

Never thought of building a bunker, may be we should....just don't tell the councils.

My daughter turns 18 next month. It really doesn't seem that long........

I hope you are safe from the hatchet, Mr Elf! :rose:

Hey Trisk :rose:

I've been through this type of thing before and I'm still around. I'm in a much better position now of course. Nothing aimed at my small group, besides I'm the guy they need, I don't need them. It will cost them alot to get rid of me.

Hey all

Just a quick G'day to tell you all I'm still kicking

After a spell in hospital brought on from a HUGE amount of stress and the start of pnumonia - I'm happy to say it's all good

I'm getting on with life and I'm just back from a short ride to see Wildrozes and our boys - after about 3 weeks off the bike it felt good to be back on 2 wheels again

have a great sunday night and don't do anything I wouldn't do lol

Im the only Melbournian here :(

Hey Med,

Not so. There are couple of us around here just not hereon a weekly basis. So cheer up. I also hear they call us Mexicans, that whole south of the border thing. Then again I do like spicy food and can eat chillies raw :D

Mr Elf I have been thro' that experience (after 23 years service) and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

But hey be happy that you are able to smile and live in the lucky country.

Hey DJ,

Yep I know we are in the lucky country, well you make your own luck, but still with all the issues we see on the news about the place it is still a good place to live and enjoy our freedom. I've been to various parts of the world but its nice to come home and to the lifestyle. And the women are rather sexy as well.

Evening all,

Well another weekend just about done. Spent some of it shopping. Didn't realise there were so many sales on for jewelry. Took advantage of the Father's Day sales for clothes and purchased Karise Eden's CD. That girl must be channelling Etta James and Janis Joplin. Amazing voice and so young.

Then did the mowing before the cold wet stuff arrived. Shopping and gardening and did the ironing in 3hrs. Now that's how a bloke does it....we see stuff, we buy stuff then get the hell out of there. And sometimes we try stuff on before we buy it. Well with these clothes made in China you can' t trust the sizes.

Yes real men do iron and we remember to take the clothes off first. And no we don't buy skinny decaf cappuccino's.

The first time you see whales at sea, it's all exciting.
The second time, you realise they're yet another obstacle you need to get past.
And the umpteenth time you hear them through the hull when you need sleep coz you've just done an 8 hour watch and you're exhausted..... you just wish they'd shut up for a few hours!

Now isn't that typical nature, lovely one minute...noisey and annoying the next. A bush walk is nice till you hear something scurrying around in the undergrowth, then you're reaching for something to defend yourself with. They don't show you that stuff on those travel shows. I went to Fiji once and thought I would sit outside in the warm evening and have a cold beer...well five minutes later I was being eaten by every fucking bug in the area. And the ones that you couldn't see you could hear coming your way. I decided looking at nature from the comfort of my air conditioned room behind glass was the way to go.

Hey WQ

Your av is just so lovely to look at...which reminds me I need to buy peaches

Good to see you're up and about Gil! :rose:I hope Bandit is well on the mend.:rose:
A painful toe is like a special place in hell! You don't realise how much they do until you can't rely on them any more.

LOL Having flashbacks to Blazing Saddles....... :D

All power to you! There used to be a saying in Defence ; 'just wait 5 years - and some bright spark will have the brilliant idea to do it just the way we were before this years bright spark decided to change it!'

Mmmm. Don't do much shopping. None here. When I get to the big smoke I plan, engage, execute and withdraw. No muckin around! Mind you I did browse shops in St Kilda on my bday w/e, and was kindly indulged by my patient escort. :D Been thinking of getting that CD, love female jazz and blues artists. She's the bees knees.

Ironing sucks lemons but hasta be done. Try telling HUGE leather clad bikie in colours that real men don't drink the Caramel Soy Latte he just ordered. I sure as hell didn't!!!!

Take care, Mr Elf. Hope your week is good to you. :rose:

(((WEBBO!)))

Sorry you were so ill. :( Hope you're back on top of things, now. :rose:

A good bikeride clears the cobwebs. I miss those days a lot. Keep threatening to indulge myself and get a beastie again. Maybe. Damn. Maybe I should just get a horse.

Take it easy, Petal.

Thanks Triskele, nice to be here.

Saw a few posts about Melbourne, I'm a Melbournite also. :D

I love Melbourne. Don't get there often enough. The Princess Cherub was looking at Melb Uni for a while but now seems to be looking north. Oh well.

There are quite a few from Melbourne on lit. One guy had a thread called something like 'I just haven't found you yet' That was the theme anyway. He's a sweetie.

I like the folks here, lots. But don't wait for a lead in. If you got something to say or ask just post it. People come outta the woodwork if something comes up that's interesting. ;)

Hi Rainshine

From a fellow Melbournian, I can only echo Trisk's sentiments there are an odd but lovely bunch of people here.

DeeJay

Odd??? I hope you say that with LUUUUUURVE, Deej!

Eclectic, is probably closer the mark! Sheesh!

OMFG!!!

I have been trying to post a reply here for over an hour
Ever since the downtime for maintenance that laurel and manu did a few weeks ago, lit has been playing silly buggers.

Anyway...... Good evening aussies, and welcome Rainshine :)

All is well in the Apple Isle.... my mama is over to visit for two weeks, and play with her great-grandaughter.
Haven't seen her for over a yr and a half, so there's a LOT to catch up on!

The weather has finally turned wintery - rain, snow and wind.
So consequently, I am back to being a 44 yr old with Shirley Temple ringlets

The man is away at work again. Part of me is really enjoying the solitude, and other parts of me are missing the company ;):devil:

Ok now the name makes sense, you forgot the hail/sunshine bit we had the other day.

Welcome to this humble dwelling, don't mind the dust, just blow on something to clear a space.

Hi again Rainshine. I see you found the other Aussies :D
(I lurk around the fringes of the thread as the Kiwi one is super quiet).

Hi cousins ... Triskie
