Eye's baccckkkk! :D Did anyone miss me????

I managed to spend a week in NZ and not get run off the road by the logging trucks nor did I get swallowed up in an earthquake.
I found some nice NZ wine at Mission winery, some yummy chocolate at Silky Oak, got beautifully steamed at a not so smelly thermal place....and had the best Indian food I've eaten in quite some time.

Did I mention that it rained almost all the time as well???

Sounds like you had a great time... and of course we missed you :rose:

Awww.... :rose:

It was too short a time....but then we can't always have what we want, can we?

There's some really seriously green bits over the other side of the water....I guess that was the thing that struck me the most....GREEN

Definitely recommend spending time there - and money!!!

I like a particular brand of bra - in NZ even at full price, they are cheaper than they are here and with the exchange rate in our favour - well, what can I say? I bought a couple!!!

Just a couple????

well - it looks like our street is flooding - water over the road and stupid people trying to drive hatchbacks through waist deep water .... numpties

Prodigal!

And after too long a sabbatical, I'm BACK!

Hi all, including but not limited to : Gil, Bandit, Webbo, Enraptured moon, Warrior Queen, et al.

How are people doin'?

Hey mate - doin ok ... if not a bit wet and flooded lol

where ya been

Welcome back.... :)

Most people seem to be slugging it out fairly successfully with the weather gods...

Others are recovering from various ills which have befallen them and keeping the  at bay...

There's been the odd continent crossing - that Brissie boy with a taste for art has deserted us for Perth and painful pleasure although it has been noted he has made a flying visit back.

There's also been the odd crossing of the ditch - first time grannies cannot be kept at heel all that easily. Others have gone for the scenery and the work.

What more can I tell you?

Oops Austral maybe that's what I did wrong, I just opened the door and let  right in. Seems to be working out ok so far though. :)

Hope you dry out soon Webbo. :rose:

This particular person is just fine Mr Knight sir, and don't worry we all wander off at some stage but seem to find our way back eventually.

I hope all are keeping your feet dry & safe, just saw it on the news.

Yeah, they finished the first job way ahead of schedule, so he's got some down-time. He'll be off again soon enough!

UMMMM some down-time took on a whole different meaning to me.

I was actually going to say getting some unexpected WQ time would never be classed as down-time.

Hope it all looks up for you soon Gil, it's miserable when things just don't go right and you feel like crap.

Playing up for us usually involves a couple of hours travel, nice hotel and trading babysitting favours... really disappointing when it falls through. Though sometimes I do think it's the universe trying to tell me to behave myself. :D

The true meaning of the universe is to put you best into every chance & get the max enjoyment too. Lifes little testers make us enjoy when we have a win.

This feeling crook will see me at the doctors tuesday because it's just going on to long & we can't come up with a reason or possible cause. :(

Hi all! How's everyone is surviving the big wet?

Sun came out here late yesterday. Everything is bright and brand-new-shiny. Sad that we lost a man to the water. He did not act safely, though. I wish they had stayed put with the car. The dog did! He was sitting on the cabin waiting to be rescued!

Drove through the river today to get my stranded friend home. Heart nearly pounded out of my chest but it was all good. Lots of damage to roads and tracks.

At least we all feel like we can brearhe now. Everyone can get to work. No more double shifts!!

Hope everyone is happy. Gil, I hope your Doc can get to the bottom of your illness. It's been going on too long. :rose:
