Hiya sweetie - aside from recovering from the flu I spent the morning processing lolly drive order forms for the school (boring as batshit) and then the afternoon with my head in a book.

Made a killer of a fried rice for dinner - yum.

and then found out I have to work an extra twelve hours this week - no rest for the wicked

So how was your day?

well work was work as always but its been a mad house tonight.
My niece was taken to a Melb hospital and put in the infectious dieses (how do you spell that) ward as she is havint trouble breathing now, at one stage they were thinking of emergency surgery to remove her tonsils but cant do it till they sort out just what she has.

I have been busy on the phone passing information back to the family and sorting out accomadation for everyone

it would be so nice to know for sure just what she has as its been going on now for two weeks and slowly getting worse each day.

at this stage we dont know if she will be in Melb for a day or a month....still waiting on resaults from the blood tests.

Thanks to everyone here for your txt messages, it was a lovely surprise to turn my mobile on and find them waiting for me.

In particular, thank you my dear friend picacho for the strenght, support and love you've given me. You made it all so much easier.

Nice thing, mum died with my stepdad, my sisters and I at her side. She wasn't alone. I then helped the staff wash her and change her nightie. It was lovely to be able to do one last thing for her.

Again, thank you my friends.

So..... who's keeping bar for this wake?

In true Irish tradition I think I'll have a Guinness.
