I am a born and bred Tasmanian (with only one head I might add) and have had woodfires for many years. Most recently wood heaters of course, but when i lived with mum and dad we had lived in a one horse town in a beautiful old house. Big rooms, high ceilings etc and an open fire in the lounge room. God we used the get the room all toasty and warm.

Nothing beat a full on open fire - agreed.
my grandfather was from tassie-his family used to farm on table cape in the north west-still do as far as i know. used to have an open fire at a place we lived-was nice if in the same room but the rest of the house was freezing-and so much work chopping wood and cleaning-i like a campfire best

Tasmania, have to be nice & not say anything about 2 heads...................

Seeing as one half of Raven comes from down there.............

I grow up in a tiny villiage of NSW, little cottages but always with the fire going........

Bloody hot in summer but winter sooo nice and cosy..........

certainly skipped no one in my family-my mother is a nut and not in a good way. my sisters are the same. my brothers aren't as bad but i've been called a trifle wierd

As a whole my family is not too bad.

I am one of the lucky ones. I know how to laugh at myself, take a joke, have fun and enjoy life. Some of the other family members are a little uptight.

My favourite cousin and I have a pact - if we start losing our marbles we will shoot each other.

Geez Nostress . . . you won't score with that line . . . you gotta get on yer bike and pedal man . . . remember the scene out of Breaker Morant where the guys rode 50 miles to get laid, and then rode back in time for roll call . . . ;)

And that was on horseback . . . so a mere 150 minute ride should be easy for a Honda . . . :D
So Trev you probably missed this little beauty as well
