Aussies! Check in here!

Oooooh!

Coffee? Drinks? It would be nice to catch up with a fellow Litster!

Doesn't anyone organise meetups anymore? We used to have them once or twice a year....
I would love to meet some ppl while over there. I have evenings of 29, 30 and 32 Jan free at this stage. I will be staying in Gnagarra but I know Perth very well so pick a place and a date :)
As of tomorrow (Sunday) my reception for data will be sketchy as I travel across, so don't worry if I can't reply till Aust Day or thereabouts. I will pm you my ph no :)

Gidday all.

Just sharing my recent entry in the Valentines Day comp.

https://www.literotica.com/s/what-are-the-odds-3

Not for self-promotion but because it carries a strong Aussie flavour and i thought some of you might enjoy the read. It's kinda long and errs towards reality. Pretty vanilla stuff.

Otherwise, life is good. Fucking dry at the moment. Our little block looks like a weedy dust bowl. Starting a new job soon. I'm Mr Mum so limited to 9 -3 jobs while my wifey works full time. This one works well with that schedule and it's outdoors which suits me too. Hoping it pans out well, we could use the extra finances.

Wishing you all a fun filled Australia Day, however you choose to spend it. In boganesque splendour or as i do in the true aussie spirit of apathy and alcoholism.

Party with your pants off lovely people.

Hi fellow Aussies.
Paul 44 from Brisbane here, great to see so many of us here and love to chat to any of you wonderful aussies. Have a great day all

Hey WQ,

Had to read the line about where you were staying twice. Thought you wrote...gonorrhea...can't see that on those travel posters :D.

Travel agent: "Right madam your ticket to Gonorrhea is all set, for a few dollars extra you can have a stop over to Scrotum, a bit humid down there though but you do get your own set of balls to play with."

Wow Perth has 32 days in Jan, like I know they are far away from everyone but now they have their own calendar dates. May be that's what the Mayans meant by the end of the world.

Safe travels and don't melt in the heat.

Afternoon all,

Well it's going to be hotter over the next couple of days. Can't wait for the cool change to get here on the weekend. Now that I'm just about over my cold I can have cold drinks again. Went shopping yesterday to beat the heat of today and purchased a few cold ones for the next couple of days. Drinking only hot drinks when its over 30 just sucks.

Had no clue that the cricket is still going on. Night test tonight although not sure how many people will be watching it given the lack of coverage of the cricket this Summer. Our national team is playing a sport and you can't see it unless you pay, what absolute crap. Can't see many pensioners who could afford Foxtel to watch the one day matches. Fucking outrageous.

Given the heat happening in Melbourne over the next two days, I'm not sure who is crazier, the tennis players or the spectators watching them. Lots of very warm people sitting in an oven. Not much space between those seats. Like being on a crowded tram in Melbourne without any air conditioning during the hottest part of Summer. The trams the tourists see aren't the ones most people travel on.

Hope you find a cool spot. Can't even escape the heat by going south. In Canada at the moment they have the opposite issue, minus temps and snow.

Hi fellow Aussies I hope everybody is well and I hope you all had a good day[

I can thank a friend for suggesting I take a moment to look at your lit posts. Wish I had seen this 4 months ago.

Hmmm, a Perth catch up might be fun.

Bloody cold over here at present. Went from 42 to 20. Rain even! The cyclone up north is going to be interesting though. Looks like it might have enough resistance to run parallel to the Pilbara and then curl around Exmouth. Worse case it sits out off the coast and picks up all the Indian Ocean moisture. Minute chance it might have a bit of a crack at us. Should be some huge waves to get amongst mid week so it is either extra strong bikini glue or surf naked.

Hi Swannie.
I think i know what you will choose hon.
Really hope you dont se that cyclone hesd your way, hsd 1 when i was there and it wasnt pretty. Wish we would get a cooler dsy here for a break but cant complain really, been around 30 ish for few weeks now glsd ee have got the 40s this summer so far

Morning all,

Well Jan is just about over and the heat is back on in Melbourne town. Not sure it really left. Probably just lurking waiting till we weren't watching. No rain to speak of with the cool change last week, which is the same pattern we had last Summer. Unusual for the cool change not to bring rain. Anyway another cool change on Thursday so hopefully some rain with that one. Until then it's man the fans and air cons. Hopefully we won't get another back to back 40's temps for the rest of Summer. Had three days in the 40's thus far this Summer, we don't need anymore.

So nice that the kiddies are back to school. The shouting from them playing outside has gone. I think even the tradies down the road would be happy with the reduction in noise. Must have been hard for them to hear their car radios with all that child noise.

Was a nice quite long weekend. The heat has put plans on hold for the painting tasks. Now that I'm feeling better, I can get on with things.

Been looking at the shocking news of the water issues in the Darling. People being forced to drink stinky water. Total fuck up on water management. No doubt Barnaby will back his cotton growers in the fight to come. Will it be fixed? Only if the govt has the guts to crack some heads, but given the Libs are worried about QLD votes, I don't expect much to happen.

Hope you find a cool place till the next bit of cool weather comes around. A thought for those caught up with the bushfires in Tassie.

Hello to all my fellow Aussies.
Long weekend over to quick, kids back at school and nearly 3 montjs before the next lot of holidays. Bit sad but wishing you all a very prosperous 2019

Superbowl next Monday

Not sure how many follow the NFL? Saints will feel hard done after the terrible no decision to let the Rams through. Was hoping the Chiefs would beat the patriots and had their chance just couldn't do it. How about that both games went to overtime!

So whose your choice Patriots or Rams?

Patriots have won enough to me, time for some new blood. I don't barrack for either but would prefer a Rams win.

I was just asked in another forum what it takes to become an Aussie, so I jokingly was reeling off being word perfect to Khe Sanh, I was only 19, a bunch of The Church Songs, and Evie Parts 1-3.
So with Australia Day just past and the usual uproar of the Triple J 100 on the wrong day, I suppose I can put out the old pub debate of if you had to tell a foreigner coming to our shores to live the top 10 songs they need to commit to memory and sing in a car, whats your pick?
For me:

Evie 1-3
Khe Sanh
Under the Milky Way
Before Too Long
Will I Ever See Your Face Again
I was only 19
Long Way to the Top
Great Southern Land
US Forces
Throw your Arms Around Me

Hey Scummie,

Yep a shame that the Patriots got there again, however given their ability to win the big games I thinks it's hard not to go for them. I'll be watching as I do every year. At least these days I don't have to take the day off work to watch it. Just got to remember to set the alarm as a back up.

Morning all,

Only one coffee in and it's kinda waring off so need a another one. If I was still working I'd already be two down. And a new month so a pinch and tug for the first of the month.

A couple of nice cool days at the moment but that is all about to change for the weekend in Melbourne town. But for now I'm still enjoying the cooler breezes. Was out and about yesterday and it was cooler outside than inside the house. Back to the trakkie dacks today if only for one day.

Saw the floods in northern Qld and there are bushfires in Tassie. The extremes of the continent and also in weather. Tourists to the country must be confused as to what is going in the country. They don't see those things in the tourists ads.

The second test again Sri Lanka today. At least the team can win against someone but still no ton scores. If they can't make them against Sri Lanka, they'll be no chance against any other team unless we play Canada. Since I'm an old dude I still think of Sri Lanka as Ceylon. I mean you don't see Sri Lanka tea, obviously don't mess with a brand name. Kinda like Bombay Gin.

Hope your weekend isn't too hot.
