I was actually shocked...no athletes were gunned down, or anything like that. Given that there were gun battles shortly before the Olympics, the authorities have either done a very good protection effort or just been incredibly lucky.
So.... things have been very quiet here lately.
I recently started on new medication, which has me feeling nauseous, no appetite, constant headache and tinnitus. The rheumatologist assures me all this will settle down once I reach the therapeutic level I need....
Only good thing so far has been the weight loss (because of the nausea and loss of appetite) I have lost 7kg in three weeks!
Not the best way to get rid of those last few stubborn kilos.
The kicker? I'll be on this (or similar) for the rest of my life.
Ok, now for some better news.....
Early October, I'll be in Sydney for a few days either side of Bathurst weekend
If anyone wants to catch up, let me know via pm ....
Brisbane here
I thought it was over there, but if its here then that's going to fuck up the gps.
Anyway welcome and you can put the beers in the esky or a chilly bin as the kiwis say.

hi guys, bi guy here from country vic, fairly new on here, doesn't seem to be many aussies online. love reading some of the threads

Rain, sun, rain, sun, rain...... Spring has been switched on!
Loving the warmer days, especially as I have had no car for 3 weeks and have to walk everywhere.
I might have to update my profile pic as I have hair again
Thank goodness my side effects from new medication have finally begun to settle down! Headaches, tinnitus, nausea, insomnia, the works.
I still have zero appetite and have to force myself to eat, but the resulting weightloss has been welcome!
And the past three days have been pain-free (sort of) so I guess it's finally working.
Roll on October and Bathurst!
Hope you're all having a good weekend![]()
Hey WQ,
So are you going to colour your hair since you've got some again?
Good to hear the medication is working.
Afternoon all,
Well you know its school holidays in Sept, its raining. Expecting the same next week so that should be enough to drive parents nuts. Its also a time to avoid public spaces.
Hard rubbish time in my neighbourhood so lots of visitors curb trawling on the odd chance there is something good to take home and become trash in another place. This is supposed to be illegal but nobody gets caught so the council rules are just lots of posturing, besides who cares where the stuff goes so long as it goes somewhere else. The cycle of life or rather the recycling of life.
I see the Russians and Americans are each other's throats again over the middle east region. Politics once again getting in the way of achieving results. The old siege mentality on show in Syria. Apparently we humans have evolved over the centuries, buts some things just stay the same.
So Angela and Brad have broken up. Guess now Brad gets to wear his own pants again. Obviously that is the news story of the month.
If you're in Melbourne enjoy the rain free day tomorrow, going to get wet again on the weekend. Not good if you're going to the showgrounds. Decided to skip the show this year, still have stuff from last year.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
Someone got arrested a couple of years ago for going through the hard rubbish here in Melbourne. Very annoying that that happened - I want my rubbish to go to a better home.
Though some go through hard rubbish for copper, stripping it from cables and leaving a mess, which is rude.

Recycling is very big here. There's one guy I see regularly round here who even gets inside the big skip used for restaurant scraps, after the plastic bottles. As for copper in electrical wiring, often left out for others to collect, at least they take it back to their depots and strip it there. Nothing much is wasted: Styrofoam is piled high on three-wheeler 'utes', along with huge bags of plastic bottles or stacks of cardboard.
Roadside bins are everywhere for designated recyclables. People are often seen reaching in and taking out the plastic. They do seem to make a living that way.
lol have a ball in Bathurt, watch out for the coppers (revenue raising don't ya just love it) and gooooo The Swans!
lol have a ball in Bathurt, watch out for the coppers (revenue raising don't ya just love it) ...
)I will have an awesome time
Meeting up with my fb in Sydney and we're going together - and I won't be driving at all (once we get there it'll likely be track all day, bed all night, and not much free time between)
*sigh
I cannot wait to get laid again.....
Oh - and I'm looking forward to the racing!
lol

Enjoy! For all of us, fucking have a great bloody time!![]()
