Heh.... Ever tried to go to a job interview where all you can do is whisper?
Not surprised I didn't get it

Ha ha ha. Perhaps you should go for one of those sex lines.......I am sure you'll be an instant success with your voice....he he he ;):D

Really?? Winds that strong? I don't know the bridge to which you refer, but I'm guessing it's a suspension bridge of some sort?

Yep winds have been strong now for a couple of weeks on and off, another high wind day yesterday and most of last night. Nope the Westgate isn't a suspension bridge but it was built over the inlet to the Melbourne Ports which is a windy place most of the time.

As for the soccer well the USA got further than we did so that says something. At least the soccer won't clash with the Tour de France for all those sports fans

More scary is the fact that everyone in Melbourne tailgates..... changing lanes becomes an adventure in dodgem cars!
The bridge is not a problem, so long as you can control a car properly.
There's a LOT to be said for Advanced Driver Training (which I've insisted all my kids do as well).

Hey WQ,

That's just city driving in a big city. One of my nephews who is used to country life hate's driving through the city, reckons all those city drivers are nuts. I wouldn't drive in Sydney if I can avoid it. One place I wouldn't bother getting a hire car. Did that once and got totally lost with all those one way streets that they keep changing.

Sorry to hear that WQ. Maybe next time take chocolates :D

Keep at it though, being rejected isn't always about your performance at the interview. I've been to interviews where I knew about the subject matter than the interview panel. Depends on what they are looking for. I always ask that question and if there is someone temp filling the job. Sometimes you're just there to make up the numbers so they can show due process.

I've been on lots of interview panels as a member and chair so I know the routine.

Afternoon all,

Well the wind and rain continues in Melbourne town. Cold wind is expected at this time of year but this long spell of high winds is not usual, seems to be coming through the place every couple of days, not good for sleeping.

In no hurry to seek further employment although interest keeps coming my way. Having a couple of days break from the World Cup has been good. Beginning to think I was a possum although with the Tour de France starting tomorrow night its a nice lead into the live games in the World Cup.

Day time TV isn't that bad. I remember when the only thing that was on was shows like the Bold and Beautiful and Oprah, made you want to return to work quicker from sick leave.

I'm really not too miffed about missing that job - it was more a 'better go do this' kinda interview.

I don't have a problem with city driving..... I learned to drive in Durban, South Africa.
If you can drive there, you can drive anywhere!

But I know what you mean re Sydney :(
I got lost in Darlinghurst. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get out!
Eventually, I paid a taxi to drive in front of me and show me how to get out

And here's a giggle for tonight...
I'm babysitting my grandaughter, and we were watching The Little Mermaid together and I got a bit carried away when the octopus/witch came on and started singing.
Well actually, squeaking, due to not having my voice fully back yet.
Now my grandbaby is running through the house squeaking the song just like her Nona

Hey everyone

Just popped in to see how things are going, it's great to see some familia 'faces' as well as some new ones.

It's been a wild and Woolley Perth day and I'm happily snuggled up in my house, watching it all from the lounge room window.

Take care, and be good... or better. ;)

Hey LadyB (((hugsssssss))) and 's

Hope you are well and happy.

What's been going on?
It is wild here in Perth these past few days......roll on summer hey? ;)

You found a taxi driver that knew his away around Sydney...wow. At times I felt like charging taxi drivers who asked me for directions.

When I got lost in Sydney I had to ask some kids where I was and how to get back to the main streets. Yep a guy who asks for directions. I've done lots of road trips so I'm used to that although I have learnt not to believe country locals when they say things are just down the road. Down the road in city talk is about 10 mins...in country talk that could be 1hr or longer.

Afternoon all,

Was a nice sunny winter's day in Melbourne town yesterday so went for a drive down along the Mornington Peninsula. School holidays here so not the usual traffic on the road.

Wave out to LadyB, saw the weather that went thru Perth, no doubt it will be coming our way in a couple of days, we certainly are getting the high winds again which means rain is a coming.

Going to another farewell this week but mainly going to catch up with people I used to work with. Sports watching is still going on. Waiting for the final matches of the World Cup. Seen the Tour de France in the UK over the past few days. It was like watching the Olympics all over again with all the crowds.

Checking in to wave a drive-by as I tour the country.....

So...... I had a good weekend :)
Got wined and dined, got laid, got seriously drunk, danced a lot, got laid again, had wine in the spa, had another romp, slept a bit, had breakfast, got more sex......
Turns out, having a sexythroatynonexistant voice is all a woman needs to attract a guy!
Just a 'mutual fb' thing though. Not looking for a deep-and-meaningfull at this stage. An itch got scratched ;)
Might meet up with him again.....maybe.....for fun...... We'll see.

My therapist is going to have a coronary!
:D
