A couple of weeks into my new skrillex haircut and now I'm going a rad cherry red colour :)
I'd forgotten how much fun it is to be able to change colour so easily (and cheaply!)
 
So - tomorrow I can finally afford to get my car fixed.
It will be nice to have reliable transport!
 
Went clothes shopping today..... I've gone down 2 sizes in jeans.
Stress - the ultimate weight-loss tool.

My hair came out more of a deep, unoxygenated blood colour. But I like it.
I actually bought skinny-leg jeans for the first time in many years (have been wearing the obligatory mddle-age appropriate straght-leg up till now.)

The rocker cover gasket has blown on my car and there's oil pissing out everywhere under pressure. Normally, I could fix this myself...... but my elbow makes it difficult to work bolts and lift things atm.
(Still on the wait list for an op to fix it.)
Not to mention the place I'm living has no flat ground to work on! The entire driveway slopes about 17 degrees! Even the garage under the house slopes a bit.
My eldest has problem parking when it rains.... his tyres spin trying to get up to his parking space, and he needs a run-up!
Not good for working on engines.

Car fixed! I have power again! And hopefully, no oil leaking around the top end of the motor.
Now I just have to get my a into g and wash the poor thing :eek:

I've lost some weight just by not going to work, mainly cause I don't sit at a PC all day anymore, although I am watching more TV now. My tight jeans are now my loose fitting jeans

Why is it that when people get together to participate in entertainment its called a Flash Mob, but when they fund entertainment its called Crowd Funding rather than Mob Funding?
 
Afternoon all,

Getting old means you get injuries you can't remember doing. Was getting over a foot injury for most of last week couldn't peg how I did it but it was very painful.

Been looking at the World Cup since it started although it is interrupting my normal sleep pattern however all bar one of the matches has been entertaining. Don't know much about soccer nor the teams but then again you don't really need to know with the commentary being provided.

Amazing how much I'm not spending now apart from bills of course. Haven't been to a petrol station in over 6 weeks and been catching up with news from around the world.
 
The V8's are racing this weekend.
I have laryngitis.
Put those two together, and you end up with a silent wq in bed all day watching the race and being unable to cheer on her fave team :eek:

Also, those new jeans I bought less than a fortnight ago?
They're loose already.
Now even I am beginning to worry about just how much weight I'm losing.....

Hey WQ,

I'm having the same thing happen with the weight loss although not through illness more like I'm not stuck to a desk or going to lots of meetings. The tight jeans are now the loose jeans. Spent most of Tues in bed. Was nice to just stay there while the wind and rain was doing its best to keep me awake all day. Nothing blew away and no water damage but I did check after it was all over.
