Aussies! Check in here!

Hi to everyone. :rose:

Hope everyone is happy and healthy, or can see these times ahead.

Happy Birthday, Orlanth!!!

Good to see you back, Gil. We lost a great man today, in Sir Jack Brabham. :( I saw your comment about Bandit's 'me time'. Very true, but good luck with it! She loves you, hon, as you know, and wants to be there with you.

Have you retired, yet, Mr Elf? Or are you enjoying your last days watching the chooks run about at work?

Getting closer to completing your TAFE, Dom. That's gotta be good. :)

Warrior Queen, you have given all you've got to the 'kicker' and the sister'n'choc. Definitely time for you and your youngest to just enjoy each moment. My single days seem to be heading for a close, but it was great to kick back and figure out what I like, for a change. Simple stuff like realising I ate stuff coz the ex liked it. Selfish, maybe, but fun. Hope you enjoy yourself and the new job is a pearler.

Anyone heard how Webbo is doin?

It's been very busy here. The Town had a big birthday. So organised a float and costumes and stuff. Had a ball.

Hey Trisk

Well I'm not technically retired that's still a few years away but am now unemployed and no plans to work again this FY and may not work for the rest of the year, just watching to see if my forecasted expenditure is close to reality. I have a job offer in the new FY but no plans at this stage to take that one up.

Its only been two weeks since I left the job but I have been getting updates. It only re-enforces the fact that I made the right decision. The first week was busy and expensive what with dentist, optometrist, gas heater servicing and a new car battery. Damn car battery died after the cold snap we had last week. Having quite mild overnight and morning temps since late last week, no heater required. Less expensive week this last week gone, which is more like it. Not quite into a new routine yet, just playing it like I'm on holidays at the moment. No alarm clock to wake up which is good.

Hey WQ,

Good to hear that you have a job opportunity with some money coming in. Whilst it may be the root of all evil, not having it doesn't quite work in this modern world. As for the ex well if that is the way he describes you to others then that doesn't show much respect. Its one thing saying that in a playful manner between partners another thing to say that to others. Good on you for standing up for yourself.

Hiya elfie.... (you know - that was my nickname growing up?!!! I have a very unusual first name, and it was shortened to 'Elfie' when I was 3 :D)

That comment was by a previous bf, not the one I've just left. The one I've just left used to tell everyone how much he hated tattoos and piercings.
I have 11 tattoos, and 14 piercings
And when I see him next week (to hand over paperwork), he's going to be absolutely horrified at my new 'skrillex' haircut!

Hey WQ ,

Hope your day is going well. If the tatts and piercings are part of you then he can't complain about them. Although 14 piercings...I'm trying to think of 14 places on your body to put them, now that would make for a fun drinking game :D

Just looked up skrillex, didn't know the name but knew the style. Was thinking of shaving the head a few years ago, but figured that would only scare the locals more.

Death

After Bob died, everyone gathered at his funeral. Then the minister started to speak: "He was a model husband, a decent man, a terrific father.."
The widow then makes a motion for her son to come to her.
"What is it mother?" he whisper.
"Dear, go check the casket, I think we're at the wrong funeral..."

Hope

Wife: "What are you doing?"
Husband: "Nothing."
Wife: "What do you mean nothing? You've been staring at our marriage certificate for over an hour!"
Husband: "Yea, I'm checking for the expiration date."

I've done most of my piercings myself - including nipples and clit. As a body-piercer, knowing just how little training these newer ones have to do, I just don't trust anyone else to do them for me!

And I'm getting a new tatt on Friday.

I've seen a clit piercing..ouch! Do you prefer studs or rings? What's the new tatt? Always wanted a tatt of a tiger on my upper arm never got around to doing it. Did get an earring a while ago but couldn't be bothered with the up keep, once again not the look for senior management back then.

I prefer rings.
My new tatt is slowly taking shape (I draw all my own) and will be a butterfly half-emerged from it's chrysalis with wings folded.......
New beginnings and all that...... :)

A few years ago, I pierced a VERY senior politician with a Jacobs Ladder.
He's still in Gov't.

Evening all,

Well my new status has afforded me more time to look around but also find more jobs to do around the house now that I have the time but to still live within my new budget.

Finding that I can get appointments for things quicker and much more flexibility for shopping. Also determined to travel on PT during pensioner hours, i.e. after 9:30am and back before 3:30pm. PT works rather well outside of peak hours. So far so good

Been in training...watching the Giro to get my eye in before the Tour starts. Making sure I stay hydrated although was living on the edge....had Irish Breakfast Tea at night...biggest decision last week was to decide what flavour jam to have on my scones and cream....yep I know sometimes you have to make the tough decisions. Mentioned that to someone I used to work with...he said don't rub it in...I said I had no intention to rub it in, I intended to eat it.

That sounds delicate given the translucent nature of the whole picture, but I get it may be the words "new beginnings" in script below it depending on the size. Words with pictures are a powerful message if done properly.

Well that polly must keep it well hidden, I can't see any of Tony's mob with that although given the latest budget I reckon a few people would do anything to run a tatts needle over Joe Hockey.

Let's just say, it was the VERY LAST person you would EVER suspect!
And .... he let me take a pic for my portfolio when I finished!

Good to hear as Me time is always important & BANDIT:heart: needs to know that she needs more her time. When I'm all hooked up she does shopping but refuses to take a time out to just sit & have a coffee before shopping or to book in for a massage or a facial just to have some her time but she won't  this has been the only thing in our 10 years together I've argued with her about even if her gym time is her release valve she should be doing more just for herself.

Hey Gil,

Good to see you posting more. Well I guess Bandit is just showing her love and that means its for keeps no matter what. You are one lucky guy, she will know when she is ready to have her own time just trust it. The main thing is you've communicated that its ok for her to have her own time, no guilt. Big  to Bandit.

What is the possibility of getting to see all your tatts and piercings? ;)

I googled the haircut & Elf WQ did a lot of her own piercings too, she is a wonderful person no matter how or what she does, BANDIT:heart: & I think the world of WQ the person.

You guys made me blush  but thankyou for the lovely words
Sorely needed as I've been way down for the last few weeks and have just been diagnosed with situational depression - unipolar.

*sigh* Not so easy to pick myself up this time..... should maybe change from warrior to wimpy queen.....

Don't be so hard on yourself. I would defy ANYONE to remain "up" all the time, never mind after the tumultuous 6 months you have had. Resilience is what counts in the long run and I think we all sense that you have it in spades. :rose::rose::rose:
