Rented an obscure Japanese film called Audition last night and was amused to see that it ended with a S&M torture sequence quite similar to the ending of a story I posted here a couple of months ago.
I've actually scrapped stories in progress because I found out about another work that I felt was too similar.
Weird when you see/ read a piece that contains many of the same ideas that appear in your own art. How does one take it? "Great minds think alike"? or "There's nothing new under the sun".
